The entertainment crew is the best I’ve experienced! They communicate well, make sure you enjoy yourself and dance always. Dairis novas and Cappuccino are especially amazing! Thank you for making my trip one of the best experiences ever!

Suite was clean, comfortable but no shower or bathroom doors nor was there a wardrobe in bedroom. For stocked fridge, only 2 beer per day, no spirits. Common areas lacked maintenance (toilet paper, toilet doors that wouldn’t close, lights turn off 10 seconds after entry, libby smelt of sewer, disgusting dirty elevators). Food was lackluster, staff was not friendly, maintenance and bell hop never showed up when requested. A la crate were awful. No activities after theatre. No top shelf spirits, no pastries at coffee bar. No tropical feel to resort. Theatre and lobby fans were never turned on. Reviews rate this as 4+ star - it wasnt even close.

Great staff. Very clean. Not many activities for teens, though. The teen club is a paying arcade games. There should be an area for teens to hang out that isn’t extra cost. Beds are very comfortable. Entertainment staff, Dairis Novas y Coca Cola, bartenders y Wilson supervisor, Melvin, Edison, Sol, and Domingo, Ariel were grear!! DJ Luis kept the music going by the pool!!!!

We booked a two week vacation at this resort and although it is beautiful, we were sorely disappointed the second we walked into our room. As I do every time we travel, I specifically request a king bed so that we have a sitting area in our room. We don't want to be eating at the buffet every night and occasionally, we prefer room service...not gonna happen in this room. When we opened the door, there were 2 queen beds and only one chair located at a "work station". I called the front desk and when someone finally answered the phone, I was transferred around to three different people, none of whom spoke English. After being cut off by the 3rd individual and calling again...I finally got through to someone who spoke English. When I explained our situation, "Edward" then said, come to the front desk in the morning and we will straighten this out. Edward assured me he would be there to greet us. We attend the front desk the following morning only to find Edward was not available. So now that we are dealing with the front desk staff, who are rude at best. To my surprise, the two clerks insisted I specifically requested 2 queen beds in my rooms. I didnt appreciate staff implying that im a liar so getting nowhere with these two, they direct us to a rep across the lobby. This rep had no idea what we were there for as she has absolutely nothing to do with booking rooms so off we go, back to the front desk. We eventually come to find out that king size beds are only available to guests in the preferred suites or in the swim up rooms. They are not available for those who book garden suites. In order to get a king size bed, we must "upgrade" at a cost of $25 pp ($50) per day. This information was never communicated to us when we booked and it is not easily/clearly advertised on the website. As this has now soured our first 2 days at this hotel, I've had time to observe other issues PROS: beautiful resort that appears to be kept clean CONS: Staff are not very friendly or accommodating Language barrier can be an issue Can only book restaurants using app, which doesn't seem to work properly. Cannot find a reservation before 9:30pm for the restaurants Room service is only available from 9am to 9pm The buffet is located at main building but there are so many sales people standing around this area, ready to pounce on you, its frustrating. There is absolutely no way to avoid this "gauntlet". The main lobby, buffet, store, restaurants, theater are all located here. We are in building 7 facing the pool where all the "activity" is. The music is blaring so loudly you cannot get away from the noise and it starts at 11am and can go late into the night. Even if your balcony door is closed the music is thumping. This certianly does not make for a pleasant relaxing vacation. Very few wait staff around the pool area so your gonna have to get your own drinks. Be prepared to wait about 20 min for every refill you want. Some staff are pleasant but majority are inattentive and very few staff acknowledge guests or even smile. Towels are small, old and scrathcy Watch your wristband...if you lose it, you pay $50 a day if you dont have one on (which I learned from other guests). Mine literally fell off on day two. Luckily it fell off in my hand when I touched my wrist and I was able to replace it. Be prepared to wait about an hour for your food at the "burger shack" on the beach. Not many drinks in the fridge, 1 regular beer, 1 light beer (both cold shots), 4 water bottles and 3 pops and fridge does not really get cold. One packet of regular coffee and one decafe were provided and we have 2 coffee cups with only one spoon. Coffee bar not open until 8am and coffee at buffet is horrible No paper or pen are provided in the room so that you can leave a note for staff to leave more Cleaning times for rooms vary widely. Mine was cleaned at approximately 4:30-5pm yesterday There is absolutely no info in the room about the hotel or its amenities. No one at the front desk bothered to communicate that you must download an inadequate QR code for this info. I only found this out from other guests The shower area is a big glass wall that faces directly into the bed area. You can see clear through the bathroom to the toilet. Although there is a "bathroom door" that doubles as the water closet door for the toilet. Inadequate storage space in your room. Only two small drawers are located under the safe in the "cupboard" the rest of the "storage spaces" are all open cubicles. We are only on day 4 of our 14 day vacation so I'm sure there are more issues to be found.

The trip has been amazing 10/10. The entertainers did a great job, chocolato, coca cola, and Wilson keeping everyone entertained and they are very nice. The highlight of the trip was the entertainment. The food was great everything was very yummy. The theatre shows were all excellent. The beach is beautiful and very relaxing. The pool is also very nice with the big pool bar. We also used the gym which was a good size and had good machinery. The rooms were massive and very organized. The staff always prepared us with the correct amount of water bottles and towels. The balcony was huge with a great view of the resort. I recommend this resort to everyone.

Just came back from the Serenade Punta Cana on Sunday, February 18th 2024. I would rate this hotel a 5/10 overall. It is a very beautiful resort that is quite clean, modern and all well manicured lawns, flowers and bushes all around. Unfortunately if you are a beach person - this is NOT the resort for you. The beach, to no fault of the hotel's beach is full of seaweed. Even after the men are working so hard to rake and remove it as much as possible there is a brand new trail of seaweed piling up for them to start allover again its that much seaweed. There are small pockets that are less seaweedy but even that seemed very inconsistent from day today so unfortunately my family spent 99.9% of their time at the pools. The resort is good for kids with them providing a waterslide, playcenter and arcade. I only saw one evening when they had someone dress up in a dinosaur costume and dance with the kids - our kids loved this and wished it happened every night! While this is a very family-focused resort - the buffet and restaurants don't open till 630pm which is too late for my kids to have dinner making them have meltdowns and behave badly at dinner due to them being overly tired. For a family resort I found this odd as I have stayed in many other resorts and they have some sort of dinner option at least around 5pm. We found this extremely inconvenient for the little ones and set the kids routine back quite heavily. The major overall consistency we took issue with at this resort was ALL the staff. From the moment we arrived in the lobby, to the restaurant staff, to the pool bar staff to the entertainment team, exchanging money if needed FOR TIPS FOR THE STAFF...EVERYTHING seemed and came off like it was an absolute bother for them. Everyone seemed to pawn you off onto someone else if they could. You would order a basic coke at dinner and often would take them longer than 15-20 min to bring it to you. They all seemed very slow, unfriendly and miserable for most of the time. There was ZERO sense of urgency or willingness to help anyone. You really had to ask, and request again and again. Don't bother calling down to the front desk from your room as the phone continuously rings and rarely gets answered. When it does get answered they claim to not know what you are saying and also take an extremely long amount of time to help you. We called several times for additional hangers, towels for the room as there were three people and they only provided enough for two. Very simple requests we struggled to achieve good result. On the final day we had three adults, two young children and ALOT of luggage. Called for help with the luggage to help us bring to the lobby and after waiting over 1 hour - had to struggle on our own as nobody showed up. I have never received service like this in Punta Cana ever before at any resort ive stayed at which is usually why I am such a big supporter of Punta Cana. Perhaps if all the staff behave this way - it is a reflection of their management at this hotel and perhaps are underpaid for the expectation. We spent $2500 per person on this hotel (mainly due to the swim-up pool room) but the food and service WERE NOT worth this amount. A fair value for this resort I would price around $1400. I stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana last May ( Although I know its adults only) and it blew this resort out of the water for their beach, service and especially the food quality and I paid LESS to stay there!! overall this hotels value for the money does not make sense to me unless they make some major changes to the service, food and more accommodating options for little ones. Not a private beach either so you are harrased by the locals selling cheap goods/services. Would not return as I have been and experienced much better resorts in Punta Cana for less $$$.

I had a wonderful stay at the Serenade hotel, but I'm only giving it one star because of an issue with my booking. I originally booked through Expedia for a week, but my flight got canceled, so I asked Expedia to extend my stay and cancel the original reservation. When I arrived at the hotel, I informed them as well. However, the hotel claimed it wasn't their responsibility and that Expedia should handle it. Now, I've received an email from Expedia saying that the hotel charged me twice and didn't cancel the first reservation. I paid for two separate stays: from February 2nd to 9th and from February 3rd to 10th. I'm unsure if it's the hotel or Expedia at fault, but I want to caution others about this situation. I'll be following up to determine which company provided the worst service.
