Stayed over night since my flight was canceled. The hotel seems to be be clean and proper security in place. The room was clean and spacious. Had a nice meal at the restaurant, moderately priced and pleasant waitress. The staff was very friendly. It’s a nice place for long period stay if you thinking of cooking your own meal since they had small kitchen inside the room.

What a beautiful experience at Whala Urban hotel in Punta Cana. The check in/out process was smooth thanks to Rosa and co-worker. The security Don Luis G is so pleasant and always have a smile. The bar/snack open until late and the drinks and snack was delicious. The server Beronica n Jean Carlos always make sure we are fine. The swimming pool is big enough to swim several laps the pool furniture is so beautiful and comfortable. The maintenance guy make sure the pool is always clean. Our room was huge and super comfortable and quiet with a balcony facing the swimming pool. Also include small fridge, sink and a living room. The air conditioning work perfect and the room decor was nice including two chair and table in our balcony to enjoy the wine at night. The hotel provides transportation to the hotel brother Whala Bávaro for free and the driver Franklin was very helpful. The Whala Bavaro is by the beach so you can spend all day there. The breakfast was so delicious thanks to chef Jordan. The hotel was always clean. Every morning I see Danny cleaning the stair and making sure the hotel is clean. The hotel located in a safe area next to little grocery store that you can fine everything and a excellent Lebanese rest named Yanni. The hotel also have a small gym and provide parking lot. Also have a security at the entrance of the hotel. Whala Urban is a very relaxing hotel with an excellent service and very warming staff. If you looking a hotel to be relax this is the right hotel. If you looking a hotel facing the ocean I recommend to look for a different hotel, but keep it in mind the Whala Urban provides transportation to Whala Bávaro next to the ocean. Located off a side road and beside empty field, I guess this area will be developed over time. Not really “by” anything. But a short taxi ride to a local mall. About 10 shops. It’s certainly not a resort but a more mid grade hotel. No elevator. Get ready to carry baggage upstairs. I think it’s pretty new. Weird you have to give a $20usd cash deposit for pool towel. Never ran into that. Usually you have a towel card and if you don’t turn it in on checkout, you pay. King bed. Clean room. Good wifi. Mini fridge to keep your snacks cold. Now this would prevent me from coming back.....one duplex receptacle in whole room. Want to charge phones and use bedside light? Not possible. Not even a plug under the desk. For the price it’s ok. But for people to say best hotel ever....best on the island.....I think they’re staged. Lol.…
