My girlfriends and I had an incredible time at Viva Wyndham V Heavens that we were so upset to leave on our last day! Our trip was from April 20-26th and we picked the best time to come for the following reasons. 1. The weather was just right - not blazing hot. 2. Due to renovations, the resort will close on May 1st, 2022 for reportedly “7 months” (double check if you’re planning to come here). The resort and beaches were absolutely stunning but it was the staff that made our trip all the more enjoyable. The Entertainment team went above and beyond their line of duty in ensuring we had fun. DaddyCool, Floki, Chocolatè, Chihuahua Winnie Pooh and DJ Smiley worked tirelessly the whole day to make sure everyone had a great time and they still managed to have so much energy (even taking the time to sit and chat with us and have fun) The bartenders Joel, Windinson and Alexander were incredible with their drink specials and knew exactly what we wanted. From alcoholic to non-alcoholic drinks, there are plenty of options to choose from. They really know their stuff! I would absolutely return to this resort and loved every minute here!…

Just wanted to give a shout out to all the staff at the “Adults only Resort at the Viva Wyndham Puerto Plata. They go out of their way to keep the crowd entertained .Friendly & hardworking !. The food was good & fresh there was no need to book for the a la carte restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh fruit & the fried plantains . The grounds were always kept clean , the pool area as well!. The beach was a quick 5 minute walk from the resort , but a nice walk through lovely greenery & the chirping of birds . Would definitely return to this lovely island & visit the resort again!.

First time visiting this resort , at first I was a lil disappointed. But then the staff made our stay better. Our favorite spot to eat was sofrito great restaurant. The amount of fun we had is going to be with us for ever. We will be visiting again.

If I could give V heavens more than five stars I definitely would. The place was amazingly beautiful. The atmosphere and vibe of the resort was phenomenal. Five different options of restaurants to eat from. The food was good and the drinks were amazing. Shout out to Joel and Orelvis for making the best drinks ever.! They knew exactly what we wanted before we could say it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I’d like to give another special shout out to Anabelia and Adalgisa. It was my cousins birthday weekend and they were phenomenal with getting the decor and coordinating delivery of the cake,fruit, and wine to her room for us. They did a phenomenal job! The scenery was amazing 3 to 4 minute walk to the beautiful beach and a two minute walk to the strip mall and club. And the poolside was amazing. The attention was excellent, great staff always giving you the best service and making you feel like you are King. The food variety is very good and taste great. I'd recommend any couple to come to this place and have a great time. Yamibel and Adalgisa at the lobby were excellent. Also Daddy Cool from the animation staff was really fun.

If you want to sit and relax, this is your place. If you want activities, even though they are stated, few activities take place. The resort is closing May 1st, 2022. We were not told that our gold wrist bands provided us with reserved tables-which the service was no better, and top shelf liquors. We should not have had to ask, no one really paid attention to the bands, so why give them. The food was bland and at certain restaurants cold. My friend consistently ordered the filet, not sure why as it was never consistently made.

Recently returned (April 14 2022) from Viva Wyndham Heavens and feel we got a little less than what we expected but still enjoyed the sunshine and pleasant people of the Dominican. The resort deserves high marks for cleanliness and the attentiveness of their staff to the limits they are permitted.I say this as with every trip to the Dominican Republic I've always found the people to be very welcoming and willing to help. It seems at this Resort the training provided is lacking the attention to detail seasoned travelers have come to expect over the last number of years. Little things like service around the pool or on the beach, timing of meal courses during Ala carte dinners, bread plates when serving rolls, offerings of the entire accents to a meal rather than delivering upon request when convenient. Visited Blend, Rosmarino and Pueblo 222 as well as V Kitchen (buffet). Blend has a good offering of Seafood and Steaks however your quality/ cut of Steak will be a hit or miss situation, I had one night over marinated cheap cut and on second occasion although very small it was good.Someone needs to look at the table/booth heights as I'm 6' 2" and the table was above my sternum, not comfortable. Rosmarino, or Italian was just okay, far too sweet a sauce is used everywhere, and should consider Fresh Parmesan offering. Pueblo 222 was my favorite however why not offer the wonderful guacomole, Salsa and cream with the Fajitas/ Tacos rather than people having to ask for it. As far as the Buffet I don't believe I had anything hot from the steam tables all week, and never once saw what we would call bacon at breakfast. Although creative you could see the efforts made to use every bit of what was previoulsy served. Inexpensive booze but reasonable beer and no Canadian whiskey at all. I saw an occasional bottle of Absolut Vodka bu that was for VIP clients, so if VIP gets Absolut the rest of us are wondering how VIP the VIP could be? By the way, do not under any circumstances order the Club sandwich from room service, we lost 2 days with illness as a result. The little things we noticed that could have made it so much more pleasant. Animation staff makes efforts to engage people and should be commended however the client base is international, why not appeal to everyone with more than just the music Loved by those of your own staff. We heard "how do you do" your Aerobics song blasting out of a speaker in loop for over 45 minutes and no one was doing Aerobics. Listen to your staff when they report things are broken or missing, Toilet seats to be repaired, water not being replenished in room, pool lounge chairs and umbrellas to be repaired, simple things like kleenex in rooms would be nice. Exceptionally high marks to the Manager of the Spa for his comprehension of Economics, that being to provide a high quality experience at a reasonable price and you will get repeat and new customers by word of mouth. Far too often we've seen ridiculous pricing for Spa services with no verification of RMT credentials whereas in this instance he provided all necessary documentation to easily submit for insurance claims. In closing we enjoyed our stay however would likely not return. The weather was great, the staff pleasant and helpful, it seems to be the Management hindering the willingness and efforts of staff to better themselves by not providing the level of training more and more people expect. We got away for a very reasonable price but will explore other options.…

This is my third time staying at this excellent resort, all the employees are very knowledgeable of their tasks, always very friendly and welcoming. Room always very clean and comfortable. And I a special shout out to Adalgisa at the front desk and widinson at the bars! Those 2 employees really make a difference they go above and beyond for every guest the faced, they are really good multitasking and always with at great customer service spirit. Please forward this feedback to them so they know their great job has been recognized. We will definitely come back and bring our friends and family.
