I would like to give a big shout out to the sweetest person in this hotel. Kari Feliz or Karin, hope I’m spelling your name correctly. I stayed in room 1706 from October 23-30,2022 and the room attendant was always very attentive, happy to deliver the best hospitality service I’ve ever experience. She should get a big recognition for her hard work and for making me hotel experience pleasant. Also Juan, bellman was always very attentive and willing to help with anything. Employees like Juan and Kari/Karin Feliz, I will continue to stay in this hotel as well as my entire family. Thank you guys!
The Embassy Suites by Hilton is relatively centrally located in Santo Domingo. You can reach them very easily. The building itself is beautiful and high. The check in was quick and uncomplicated. We were explained a few things and off we went to the room. The rooms are very nice. Very well designed and you have a lot of space. The bathroom is breathtaking. Very large and an outstanding view over the city. The bed is large and comfortable. You generally have a lot of space in the suite. The pool is also very nicely located. Not too big, but offers space for enough people. There is a separate bar and you can also order food at the pool. The water is also a great way to cool down from the heat. The breakfast was good and you had a great selection (despite corona). Also was again cooked live for breakfast. The service was very good and attentive. We did not use the bar in the evening, however the drinks looked very good. The gym is unfortunately a bit small and does not have as much choice as elsewhere, but you can keep busy if not too many people are there. Price wise it is in the normal range for Hilton hotels. So far a very good hotel, which you can always visit with pleasure.…
Lacks customer service. Room next to me had a very loud guest. Asked to be moved and they didn’t have another room available then said they couldn’t hear the noise I was talking about. Front desk staff doesn’t care or care to help. Bar and restaurant staff was the same.
three stars for me when I arrive at the hotel and I check-in and they do not give you any kind of information about the hotel while you sleep you can hear the voices of other people from another room it is a very bad experience
I can’t wait to return to a beautiful hotel. The place is clean and the ambiance is great. Everything is neat and walking distant. You get to choose whatever you want. Oh yeah the hotel room is big. The pool view oh my GOD is truly gorgeous
Over all our stay at the hotel was great. The only thing which left a sour taste in our mouth was that once we checked out we asked if they can store our bags until the taxi came to to take us to the airport which they agreed. Several hours later when we were ready to leave we were told that we had an outstanding bill, we explained that we were paid in full and the front desk people insisted and to make matters worst they were holding our bags in the back. We felt they were dishonest and were extorting us for more money. We explained and they were not hearing it. We had no choice but to pay for something we felt was all paid for since we had checked out. Our cab driver was waiting and we needed to get to the airport. This action from those front desk workers was a black eye and a way for them to steal. also keeping our bags in the back was away to force their dishonesty. I wonder how many people they do this to. Over all the experience was good until this. We will never ever go back and we will make sure no friend we know book a room there .…
Hands down the best hotel around, everything is excellent. Embassy Suites is at the top, there is no way that I will go to Santo Domingo and not stay in this magnificent hotel again!!!! Staff very professional, Strategically located, security staff are friendly and attentive to guests, this hotel is sensational
J ust want to mention that in the breakfast restaurant we had a great experience with Jose, Rafaela ,Enghenld and Ramon. on the contrary the hostess Yessica was not polite at all and very rude. they were very polite all alone my wife and I stay and I recommend any one to stay at this property
Rooms and location and the cheerful staff make this Hilton hotel a very special place with their always welcome smiles. Location is really the best in Santo Domingo and rooms smell fresh and the bathroom is good size for a couple with 1 child. Thank you and see you soon.
Firstly, my husband and I have always traveled to Dominican Republic on business and have always chosen to stay at the Embassy Suites in Santo Domingo. My husband is a Diamond member with Hilton, we have been frequent customers for many many years, and have had great experiences at this hotel location. Mostly we are always treated with respect and we enjoy Happy hour at the hotel. Secondly, the bar staff is awesome and very attentive, the breakfast crew the same, and always have my decaf coffee with milk ready (without me having to ask). This is how you know we choose this property for our stay. Additionally, we always tip at breakfast and at the bar staff(20%). Our recent trip, which is our last trip for a while (pregnancy), was the worst trip of our experiences in Dominican Republic. We’ve yet to feel humiliated to this extent, yet to feel emotional pain( I cried). Furthermore, my husband, I, and 3 family members whom resides in Santo Domingo, were in attendance and bared witness to this incident. We were racially profiled, and discriminated upon by one of the security personnel whose name is Kelvin. Downstairs in the garage parking lot, -1, where we entered the building, Kelvin ) security personnel) started interrogating us, as we were walking through the entryway. Kelvin kept asking where are we going and we told him, 4/5/6 times, that we are going upstairs to the restaurant. “Kelvin” took it upon himself to enter in the elevator, acting as our escort, violating our personal space, and telling us we have to show our documentation, which was his attempt to scare us, hovered over all of us, aggressively, which in turn made the elevator ride feel like eternity and a ride to our last destination before we were pepper sprayed or beat with batons. We were treated like wild and untamed animals. However the elevator experience did not end there, is flowed into the restaurant/bae area, where Kelvin was still there hovering and watching us the entire time while we waited for our table. After we sat down I just couldn’t shake off this uneasy and humiliating feeling. We couldn’t focus on what to order, we couldn’t eat, all because Kelvin was right there watching and making eye contact, like he was waiting to call the police and have us arrested or escorted off property. After so much of his wrongdoing we couldn’t take it and my husband, Jeff, who saw how stressed I was, and who was embarrassed himself, got up and explained to the front desk personnel about the incident currently going on, which Kelvin denied that he was not doing what he was doing but being a security guard. Lastly, I completely understand what the job description if for all Security personnel, however Kelvin took it upon his PERSONAL self and acted indiscriminately. This experience has hurt me badly and I cannot stop thinking about that day. I’ve been restless, hurt, and humiliated. I don’t know if I ever want to go back to Hilton again, because I won’t know what to think if I see Kelvin again. Will I get profiled? Will I get escorted to the lobby? Will my experience be similar with someone hovering around me? Finally, I must say that this experience has put a stain on my heart, mind, and soul. I don’t want to relive this again.
