As a Marriott lifetime, Titanium member, I can say that this is by far one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It has many different things going for it first and foremost. The service, across-the-board is just outstanding, both in the lobby in the executive lounge, and at the pool area, the food at the pool area was also very good with a nice selection, and the food in the executive lounge was outstanding. I also really appreciated that when I needed some extra towels they were very quick to provide them and when I needed that my room cleaned. They did an outstanding job, just very attentive to detail almost to the point where you feel like you’re at a Ritz Carlton, but I will say just a slight notch below.

This hotel is a gem! Warm welcome received at Reception as well as Bellmen who swiftly assisted with luggage services as soon as I got out of the Uber. Johnnainee and Orlando from Reception were amazing and acknowledged our birthday celebration trip! It was an extremely nice touch and attention to detail that was very much appreciated! He greets every guest, explains food and beverage offerings, busses tables, ensures the club level area is clean/well stocked and also provides local area recommendations. The hotel is very lucky to have such a valuable team member serving guests as he is truly a gracious host.

We stayed here for a long MLK weekend with my son's baseball team for a team trip to play with the local leagues and to give back to the community. I can say that all the staff is very inviting and courteous. The front desk staff were helpful as well. As a team we had a separate breakfast area that was adequate but the food in the main lobby restaurant was much better (about $15 USD per person). We stayed in a fairly large single bedroom suite that was clean but also had a distinct musty smell, I imagine a result of the sealed windows and poor ventilation/dehumidification. Our son and his friends had a blast at the pool which is clean and well kept including the surrounding areas. The pool bar turned our food orders around surprisingly quickly, it's the drinks you have to order and stay on top of, perhaps even order double since for some reason with maybe just a dozen people at the pool (not all ordering drinks) it took quite a while. Be warned, there are very few towels at the pool, they are on the right of the pool bar when facing it. Overall we had a pleasant stay with great people and a clean restful room with good drapes, good air conditioning, a quiet floor, and ok food. This is not a party resort hotel, it is not a 5 star opulent hotel, it is a nice hotel in a central location about 25-30 minutes to the airport depending on the traffic that day.

I had a reservation booked with this hotel on March 10. Due to flight delays in Miami, I did not arrive until early on March 11. Despite the room being guaranteed with a credit card, the hotel had canceled my room when I was late, gave it someone else, and told me to try a different place. Unbelievably bad customer treatment and worse than any I’ve ever had from a Marriott property. This makes you wonder what the point is of reserving a room with a credit card - it reserves nothing! I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode, except the joke was on me. I was traveling for business as a team lead - in future trips I have forbidden my team members from booking here lest they find they have no accommodation if theyre delayed.

During my recent stay at the Renaissance Jaragua, I was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the hotel’s staff. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until the time of my departure, the employees went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of extraordinary.

Every time I visit the capital city I always stay here. The hotel rooms are spacious and I love their gym and pool area.
The pool area has a pool bar where you can order drinks and food. It has plenty of chairs. The gym is a modern gym and has a spinning bike. In the evening you don’t have to leave the hotel because the Merengue Bar has live entertainment and you can dance all night. If dancing not your thing, there is a casino next to the bar. The casino provides free drinks and snacks if you are playing.
The concierge service at this hotel is amazing The hotel is located on the Malecón strip. Here you can find other hotels and restaurants. We recently found the Barra Payán which is a popular local chain restaurant that provides delicious sandwiches and now serving breakfast. You can get a sandwich for 2 $200 pesos ($3.50 USA) and mangu dish with fried cheese and salami!

I enjoyed my holidays in hotel Jaragua. I felt there very comfortable. In the room was good climate control there was not hot and it was pssible to rest from the dominican hot weather. Aspeciely we want to say thanks to Ernesto because he took care of us and care about our needs when we ate snachs at the evenings in the 10th floor, thats why we felt welcomed. Rooms are large enough to be very comfortable, and they are kept clean. The pool, gardens and gym are great, but sometimes the music is too loud at the pool, and you may not find towels if arriving late. The lounge in the 10th floor is a great place for spending a time with the family or alone, with a great view and a great service. Lucas, Greta and Genesis will take care of you. They also have great snacks. A very healthy breakfast in the Luna restaurant, but dinners are not that great. Reception is fast and efficient and the laundry is done most of the time same day unless they lose a bag. It happened once, but they found it 2 days later. Housekeeping ladies do a great job keeping your room in order and clean. Parking lot even that is very large, some days is full due events. That could be a problem. Overall, a good experience and I recommend this hotel.

The lounge has a lot of advantages such as complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner tapa style plates. Unfortunately elite gold no longer has access. You have to be a platinum level guest to have access.
I forgot to say how safe I felt on the property- and this question now allows me to do so. Security was everywhere- I didn’t realize who they were at first. You also cannot go to any floor other than yours. Really impressed with that. They constantly have eyes on who is walking around.
