First and most importantly: Forget the pictures on tripadvisor! The Trupial Inn was flooded in November 2011 and has been update to a more modern decor. The Jimmy Buffet Caribbean charm in the bar and restaurant is now a more metro look with cool blue lighting under the bar and sleek couchs around. The restaurant is also sleekly designed. Honestly,...

After the flooding the whole place has been updated quite nicely. At arrival however it was not indicated where the reception was located, luckily some other quests told me. I didn't really feel welcome at the reception and after having dinner (which was quite good) I couldn't book the food on the room. Also I couldn't pay with card and...

I was rather desperate in getting a last-minute deal and my travel agent recommended this hotel/ resort in the urban area of Willemstad. I booked a Deluxe room for two persons for 7 nights. The entrance and many other parts of the resort are still under construction as the area got flooded more than a year ago and ever since...

Sure this is not a very luxury Hotel but for the price less than US$ 100 it is a great deal. The location of course it is not in the downtown, but it feels great when you want to have relax and privacy with your partner. Decoration of rooms are niceand integrated to the enviroment. Service is of course the...

I went with my husband on a business trip to Curacao, this hotel was prebooked by the agent. It would not have been my choice and wasn't when we returned again on business a month later. Breakfast costs $15 each, cereal, fruit, omelete, coffee, fruit juice. One evening there was a BBQ with an open salad bar, your choice of...

The Trupial is far from downtown Willemstad, situated in a bland suburban neighborhood. My biggest complaint was that you were dependent on staff van runs or taxis to get downtown. We later discovered our way with the local buses, but the inconvenience was too great. Instead, we checked out and went to Hotel Otrabanda, which was a better location and...

I've read some of the reviews of Trupial Inn. I stayed there last minth and I had a wonderful time. Don't expect a first class hotel, because it ain't. The service is excellent and the food is good. Rooms are clean. The hotel is not near a beach, but is very central located. Beach is like a 15 minute drive...

My husband and I stayed here as we went for shopping/relaxtion. The staff at the Hotel were the best. Especially the front desk staff, they helped us with everything, even calling us at the room when the bus was ready to leave. If you are an outdoor person and looking for cheap accommodation this is the place, as the Hotel...

Trupial Inn, Curacao. The Casino is in the middle of the Complex. It closes at 4am. The people leaving are very noisy and they will wake you up. The music at poolside plays late, so you cannot go to sleep early for your early morning tours. The quietest rooms are near the entrance. The rooms are not sound proof. You...
