We visited here as an excursion package so arrived in an American car, enjoyed a drink and spent time looking around the mansion. Dinner was great, I ate lobster which was delicious. It has great views and the staff were very hospitable and also the piano player was a nice touch. We were picked up again by car and taken...

Sunset on Xanadu Mansion is incredible! If you want to have dinner there you have to book. I didn't, but i arrived earlier and they "let" me to eat there. "Let me" because the waiter was so rude. He told us that was full but there wasn't anybody there, except us on 6 pm. In spite of that the food...

Dear Mary: Thank you very much for your visit and your comments about the place and dinner! We are so sorry for the inconvenience with the waiter. We will take measures so that this does not happen again. Usually the restaurant opens at 7.00 p.m. for dinner. We will be waiting for your next visit! Best regards!

Mansion Xanadu is unique, full of history and has an amazing beach. It's very different from all other hotels in Varadero. The service is great, the rooms are elegant and the food is amazing (we still remember our dinner by the sea)! It's a piece of paradise and very romantic; so it's ideal if you go there with your loved...

Mansion was impressive from the beach. Walked to it from the beautiful public brach behind rhe mall of americas. Can also access it from the main golf course road from the hop on hop off bus. Either way its about a 10 min walk. Located beside gold course clubhouse. Paid 2 cuc for entry. Not alot to see. Wine cellar,...

Thank you so much for your opinion. I invite you to have lunch or dinner in our restaurant the next time, it is excellent and the view of the sea is beautiful.

We decided to stay here because of the novelty of staying in a 'mansion' and the historical background of the property. Unfortunately, the mansion is under renovation which caused a bit of disruption and a huge mess. The mansion is in desperate need of a remodel, so I do not blame them for doing it, but I wish they had...

Dear Jodi: Thank you very much for your comments! We are so sorry for the inconvenience. It is truth, after 86 years, works of gradual restoration process has begun on the facade, in order to restore its original architectural values, so, without closing operations and services, we have published in our website the following: RESTORATION NOTICE: The Xanadú Mansion, a...

Seems that the management is reluctant to close the place down until they do the renovations but actually they are doing more harm than good. This place is crumbling. Everything about it is crumbling, even the bathtub. One can see the splendid that was once a part of this property. I am surprised that bats didn't house themselves in the...

When we visited it was under renovation so it wasn't worth the time to go see. Once done, the view is nice. Great way to burn some time, especially if you take the bus. Has a restaurant and a longe area. They don't let you tour the rooms for your 2 CUC.

This place is definitely showing its "Cuba" all over it... a once elegant mansion that is now crumbling. The staff was generally very nice and the sunsets are great. It is one of the only places on the strip that is not an all inclusive. Which is nice in a way... but also weird cause when you walk down the...

30's mansion turned into a boutique hotel. Real residential ambience. Patio overlooks the crashing waves of the Atlantic. Wonderful lunch of lobster and Chateaubriand. Not cheap but worth it. Arrived by classic car from Varadero to complete the experience.

The hotel is sumptuous, of course, but it's the staff that make it truly a special experience. We enjoyed sunset cocktails on the 2nd floor terrace, and sat with fellow travelers from several other countries. The mojito might be one of the best I've ever had.
