Having stayed at the Parque Central in Havana (run by Iberostar) and having seen that good service is possible in Cuba, and excellent food, this hotel confirmed all the prejudices with which I had arrived - shabby infrastructure, grubby, dated bathrooms, ugly architecture, brutal concrete expanses, appalling food (the worst breakfast of all the hotels I stayed in in Cuba),...

Dear abager: Thanks for having reviewed your stay in Tripadvisor and for bringing some issues to our attention. It is really a shame we were not able to meet your expectations. We are glad that your contact with the reception staff was satisfactory, opposite to your perception with the rest of the workers. It is sad you did not feel...

The first time that we found a 5 starts hotel where anything works. Three days without hot shower, the room is quiet old, seems that in 30 years wasn't renovated. Just the electricity connection on the bathroom worked. The frigo-bar doens't offer anything. The internet connection is just over carged. The breakfast, we had to fight for the last bread...

Dear Carla B: I am very sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your stay, and can assure you that this is not the standard we hold our facilities to. We should, however, point out that we didn’t have any issues related to the hot water supply recently. We have at the hotel an automatic heating water system...

Five star hotel situated on edge of city. Everything you would expect from such a place. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with TV, mini-bar and safe. Higher floors overlook the town. Bathrooms are large and well stocked with toiletries. Has numerous bars and a large swimming pool. Has buffet restaurant which is also used for breakfast which is well...

This hotel could be anywhere in the world, it's soulless but it's fine. Good internet and cheap internet cards if you purchase to use on pc in lobby - but they work on mobile devices. Room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable and zircon and TV all worked fine. Bathroom cleaner, hot shower and hairdryer worked fine. Eat in the...

We were told this is the best hotel in town and I am sure that is true. But do not believe the ranking of five stars or luxury. The elevators take forever to come and are always crowded and hot. The buffet breakfast is extensive and in a large room but too many guests are jostling for seats and food...

Melia Hotels are very popular and well known in Cuba. They have several hotels across Cuba and I have experienced 4 of them. Referring to this, I can say that it is the best Melia Hotel because the decoration and the hotel itself is very sophisticated and new. Breakfast and dinner were various and tasty. I recommend it.

The hallways were shabby but our room was fine. One must be careful when taking a shower as the temperature fluctuates from cold to scalding hot - almost got my feet burned. We were on the 10th floor. The bar on the 15th floor has a great view and nice breeze with terrific service and cheap prices. The buffet meals...

Our room had ample space and the beds were large and excellent to sleep. From this tall hotel building the view over the city is wonderful. The pool area is almost perfect, only there are too few showers. The buffet restaurant has great variety of good quality food.
