The hotel is located on a busy street in Santiago de Cuba. The outside noise level can be high with street noise and festivities, but overall the hotel is clean and the staff is very courteous and helpful.

We moved from a dump in Havana to Hotel Rex, and I was leary of another hotel I had never heard of…..but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is well maintained, in a great area of the city and has all of the basic amenities. I particularly enjoyed the small bar and restaurant area when I was left on my...

This seems to be a fairly new hotel smack in the middle of Santiago de Cuba. It is on a busy street and right next to Plaza de Marti. There is a disco right next to the hotel. Thus be prepared for noise. The street noise dies down after 10 p.m. but the disco goes on till past mid-night. The...

Very friendly staff. The hotel is clean and centrally located to be able to walk downtown to the old part of the city. There is no elevator and the rooms are compact, however they are modern and well maintained.

Our room was near the rooftop terrace where live music is played loudly until midnight but continues until 1.30am. In the morning the traffic starts early and is very noisy in this busy area. No attempt had been made to soundproof the room. There was one small window facing the enclosed internal space that could not be opened and with...

This hotel of some historic significance has been newly renovated and is no longer the sore on the face it once was of Santiago hotels. More modern and somewhat boutique-y it now is. The roof-top terrace is a new addition to the Santiago night-life scene as well. I went to inquire about a room in-person because the newly re-furbished hotel...
