Simple, but very nice place. Great breakfast on Roy's planted, roof terrace. Great city view. Great service. Order your old American taxi. Roy speaks english and can help you with everything. roysterraceinn at gmail dot com Keep your e-mail short, as Roy's can only access e-mail in the nearby town square, and at a high cost. FRITS

It was a pleasure being at Roy´s Terrace inn: lovely food, very good staff, who looked properly after us and the casa is wonderful with all the paintings on the wall and the majestic plants and flowers. Breakfast and dinner were superb.

I was, on the whole, depressed by Cuba, but this place was a cheerful antidote to the poor service, poor food and apathy of nearly everywhere else. Food was good, drinks were fun(!) and the setting and service were outstanding. We went back the next day, and if we'd been condemned to live the rest of our lives in Santiago...

No matter how seasoned a traveller you are, you can't find too many places like Roy's, and I mean that both literally and figuratively. Comfortable, clean, within easy walking of lots to see and do. No matter if you're there for a day, a week or come back through on your way home, the friendly people at Roy's will take...

Dear John M, Thank you ever so much for giving us such an amazing review. We certainly couldn't be happier to read about how much you enjoyed your stay at our casa in Santiago de Cuba, as that definitely is proof of the long way we have come regarding the conception and direction of a business that is not entirely...

Roy's terrace inn was our first casa particular in our cuba travel and afterwards the expectations were very high. The rooms clean with a bathroom including hot water and a hair-dryer. Having only 3 days in Santiago, Roy's was the only place we chose to patronize twice! The food was abundant, of good quality and taste. The cocktails were perfect, the bartender friendly and professional. Best of all is the ambience. An Eden of plants and flowers on the third floor, with small softly-lit tables, Roy's is a peaceful respite from...

Dear Linda H, Everyone at Roy's Terrace Inn hugely appreciates the amazing review you have written about your experience at our casa. That Eden of plants you mention is very difficult to keep, it takes a lot of work and energy, but we get rewarded every time our guests and customers like and enjoy our little, leaf-draped and charming terrace....

Roy's does it all right, probably because Roy himself is heavily involved with the operation and combines efficiency with Cuban hospitality. Clean, well, furnished, quiet, friendly...I mean, it doesn't get much better, right? Wrong! There is good English spoken which helps at times; the restaurant upstairs terrace is fine; the location is convenient; and Roy goes the extra distance to...
