This was such a great place to stay. It was walking distance to everywhere we needed to go and near all the great restaurants. The staff was helpful and kind. The place was clean and safe. I would stay here again and again!

This was such a comfortable place to stay. There was a balcony, living room, three private rooms with bath, small kitchen and patio. Amy was amazing. Great location. I highly recommend it. You can have zero interaction or lots, depends on your style.

We had a wonderful stay at Hostal Leonel - it is clean, safe and has its perfect location. We got a lot of recommendations where to go, what to do etc. The family and staff are very friendly and they help you with everything (e.g. organizing the trip). Only, the breakfast was the worst we had in Kuba, so I...

Casa Leonel is a good place in the middle of Habana Viejo. You can walk to the Malecon (waterfront), the Cathedral square and plaza Central from there. Also, the famous Obispo is near. The host, Amy, is very nice and the breakfast is the best. The rooms are basic, but very nice. So is the balcony and terrace from which...

Hostal Leonel was full at arrival. We were moved to the sister's house without any notice in advance. The sisters house was ok, too. But ince we deliberately chose Hostal Leonel for our stay in Havanna, we were disappointed.

After our wedding in July 2015 we decided to visit Havana without making any bookings and without planning our trip in details. We were lucky and taxi driver drove us from the airport to Leonel's house. He speaks English very well and he is such a pleasant and responsive person. In 10 minutes he helped us to find very good...

Very good location in Habana vieja, spacious bed- and bathroom. Breakfast was okay but not something special. Fresh fruits and the typical tortilla (of eggs) in bread. Very friendly owners, especially Nivia (has rooms in the 2nd floor; Casa Leonel is actually in the 3rd floor but they work together). Nivia is a very helpful persons in all things, e.g....

We originally booked for 3 nights, but changed to 1 night well before we arrived. When we arrived, after lugging our suitcases up 3 long, steep flights of stairs, we were told that the room is actually at a different apartment. Why? Because we only booked one night. Why didn't she tell us that when we booked so we could...

The Hostal is super clean and the family is adorable :) They help you out to make further reservations/cancellations and give you good tips where to go,eat, drink etc. They'd do everything to make you feel at ease and...

“I'm pretty sure there are only one or two rooms, but it's not really the room you're choosing anyway. It's more like choosing a surrogate family for a couple of days, and frankly this one's a keeper.”

“The street is always busy but you don't hear it as much at night. After all is La Habana. The only Gym is to walk around everywhere and go up and down the stairs.”
