Nowadays, I generally stay in higher-end hotels because hey, I worked for it! However, a friend recently pitched a last minute "value" getaway to Marazul Playa del Este and I figured hey, why not do it for the experience? It was my first time in Cuba and the price was incredibly

It wasn’t a bad experience, but I can’t say it was the best of trips taken.
I did a 5-day trip, by myself to get away and have a quiet, relaxing, birthday.
I looked for a place away from the city, didn’t want to go to Havan nor Varadero, and I found this Hotel MarAZul, it said o

My husband and I stayed for 6 days at the MarAzul all inclusive. Our goal was to be at an all inclusive close to Havana and the beach. This place was a hit on both counts.
Short trail to the beach with free beach chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests. Free shuttle daily to Ha

I'm thinking of staying here in July, do they offer tours or excursions at the hotel? Is there a bar on or near the beach that's included? Also, from the United States it says I'm landing in key west but staying in Havana? Is that an error? Please help!
Dear Jay please you can contact to our gest services Dania Reyes rrpp@htropicoco.tur.cu Best Regards

Need transportation from Havana airport to Tropicoco hotel. What is the best way?
I flew into Varadero and took a bus to the Havana area but why not contact the hotel and ask them?

Is there Wifi in the lobby now? I know that before Internet was available only in computer room? Maybe with new management this also was improved.
Wifi is available and quite good. You have to buy a card from the desk for 2 CUC. The card last for one hour and as long as you remember to log out, it can be used multiple times. I found this preferable to free bad wifi. The Cubans buy cards and hang out outside to use the wifi. As do guests from other hotels.

How big is safe in the room? Is it big enough for IPad?
It's a fair size safe but I think fitting an iPad in there might be a tight squeeze depending on the size of your iPad of course. Still a bigger safe then other hotels I've been to.
