We have just experienced a wonderful fortnight at the Bougainvillea. The staff are excellent, the resort clean and tidy although some renovation work is in progress but not intrusive. The beach is perfect, not crowded and generally clean and perfectly located 50m from the resort....More

This really is a great hotel and fantastic value for money. We were a little worried before we arrived, as the price we paid seemed a good deal lower than many other similar hotels, so it was always in the back of our mind -...More

There is a very small market when you go out of the hotel to the right. It’s about a 3 minute walk. They really don’t sell much. There was wine, beer and water. Water was not sold by the case. They had a few snacks, not a place that I would recommend if you want groceries. We hired a driver for the day and we had him stop at Massey’s. We were able to get our cases of water and snacks. I wasn’t looking for groceries but it is a well sized supermarket, just be prepared to pay island prices$$$. The concierge can help you with booking excursions but you do have to pay for them. I highly recommend going to the boatyard. We paid 100USD for a family of 4 which included sun beds and umbrellas. We were giving 80.00 credit toward lunch and drinks after paying the entrance. It covered lunch for the 4 of us and drinks for me and my husband. Included in the admission fee is a free boat ride to snorkel, equipment included, over to Carlisle Bay to see the shipwrecks. There are trampolines in the water as well as a swinging rope and diving platform off the dock. Beautiful, calm and seaweed free water. Best place we went to. Enjoy!
