Hi. The sea around Barbados is the Atlantic although Many people think it is the Caribbean. On a calm day the sea is great for swimming but it can get quite windy. The beach area around the Barbados Beach hotel is quite small but a short walk to St Lawrence Gap gives you a longer stretch of sand. Hope this helps.
