Centrally located in Paget, these two, two-bedroom beach cottages are a great escape for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Both have a fully equipped kitchen, TV and wireless internet. A 15 minute walk from main bus routes and grocery store or 5 minute taxi ride into the City of Hamilton. Each cottage sleeps 4 adults comfortably. Monthly winter rates available. We respect our guests privacy, therefore, viewing is by appointment only.
Spent a week at Beach Home Cottage and it was like living a dream! First of all Maria and Douglas were absolutely wonderful and made me truly feel like family. I loved chatting with them (with a mask) and they gave me precious advices on their island. They organized my transportation from airport with the help of Cal taxi driver. Due to covid I had to quarantine on arrival for one day but Maria had organized water, wine, fruits, snacks and a home made rum cake for me. As soon as I got there I felt like I landed in paradise. The cottage has a unique Bermuda spirit and is right on a private beach with turquoise water. I loved sleeping at the sound of waves and watching sunset on the beach or giant parrot fishes jumping in the water. I rented a Twizy electric car and had my private parking and charging point. I had some work to do during my stay and wifi was really efficient, the deck of the cottage was the most perfect home office! The railway trail is just a few steps from the cottage and so are the best beaches on the island. I had never been to Bermuda before but fell in love with the place and can't wait to be back at Grape Bay Cottage. I was a little worried at first with covid but Bermuda is doing such an amazing job at testing on arrival and then day 4, 8 and 14. It is handled via email and I always got the results with 24 hours. This made me feel very safe and Bermuda is probably one of the most pleasant places to travel to during these challenging times and for sure Grape Bay Cottage is the best place to stay on the whole island! Where to begin... The fine location on the south shore complete with 'private' beach for swimming, and lounging? The wonderfully appointed kitchen? The cozy dining/living room, or the 2 large bedrooms? Maybe I should start with Maria - the host - and the lengths she went to, to ensure we had all we needed ? Or maybe I should start with the welcome gift of rum cake, wine, and swizzle ? (Which was a collaborative effort between Maria and Cal - who was the best tour guide/taxi driver ever) .I just don't know where to begin really :) Our two weeks were truly well spent, with lots of activities, as well of plenty of relax time in our wonderfully private beach home. Grocery shopping was very convenient..a 20 min saunter up and around the beach. Wifi worked consistently. The home was well appointed in terms of kitchen supplies, bathroom towels, blankets (yes it got a bit chilly at times), books to read, TV, etc. There's nothing I would change. We will come back again for sure!!!!

All the pieces fell into place and we were able to visit Bermuda, despite the Pandemic! We, of course, returned to our favorite spot!
Doug and Maria greeted us with bottle of bubbly, wearing masks and social distancing as required. They were very helpful. They have taken the WHO course, so they had prepared the cottage and know what to do to insure the safety of their visitors.
Because our US test results did not come back in time, we had to quarantine for 3 days until we got the results from our second Bermuda test. I certainly could not think of a better place to stay in place. Cal, their recommended cab driver, delivered all of our take out meals, and it was simply wonderful to sit on the porch, gazing at the ocean, listening to the waves while enjoying our meals.
Bravo to Doug & Maria and Bravo to Bermuda! Our spirits are renewed!

Grape Bay Cottages are one of the most unique and beautiful places in the world. The charming cottages are situated overlooking an incredible private beach with a spectacular view. Beach Home is directly on the beach, and Beach Crest is slightly higher in elevation, providing an incredible vista over the turquoise waters of Grape Bay. I have stayed in both and they are both amazing.
The owners, Doug and Maria, are not only nice people, but they make you feel at home in their little corner of paradise. They will welcome you and ensure that you have a comfortable and flawless stay.
I have been coming here over a period of 28 years and I still marvel at it's perfection and beauty, and appreciate the kind and accommodating hosts. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a paradise, this is the place for you.
Having said that, Hamilton city is a quick cab ride away and there is a mini-mart within walking distance.
Perfection, beauty, superlative relaxation is the name of the game at Grape Bay Cottages.

Just had an amazing “staycation” at Beach Home with a family member over from the U.K. Location is fantastic, could not be any closer to the secluded beach which felt almost private as there was hardly anyone else on it! Plenty of space to relax and unwind with all outdoor furniture provided. Had booked a whale watching trip to experience the annual humpback whale migration and, whilst we did see several whales on the trip, we actually saw more activity from our terrace! Not to mention the shoal of parrot fish which paid a daily visit. The owners, Doug and Maria are so accommodating and even gave us a home-baked Bermuda rum cake to get our holiday started. I stayed at the upper cottage at Grape Bay. To put it simply, it was everything I could have wanted and then some. Maria and Doug are exceptional stewards of the island and their cottages. The cottage had everything we needed for our 11 day stay. Fully stocked kitchen with all of the cookware and appliances needed, including an outdoor grill! Clean comfortable bed and bath accommodations. A lovely living/dining room with fireplace. Plenty of space for a couple or family and a beautiful porch and patio overlooking what some call Grape Bay beach but I'll just refer to as heaven. Honestly, I could not have imaged a better place to reconnect with my wife and to enjoy some downtime.

If you are visiting Bermuda, there is no better place to stay than the Grape Bay Cottages. You cannot get a more authentic Bermudian experience than staying right on the beach, walking distance to the rail trail, grocery store, and downtown Hamilton. Maria and Doug are super responsive and extremely helpful with tips and suggestions for what to do, see, and eat on the island. There is no other place I will ever stay when visiting Bermuda!

My family (son, daughter in law, and 11 year old granddaughter, and I) had a very relaxing early June get away at Beach Crest of Grape Bay Cottages in Paget, Bermuda. The cottage has everything you need for a beach vacation. Maria Frith is a perfect and considerate hostess. Maria goes above and beyond to support your requests and coordinate taxi transportation (highly recommended). On your way from airport, stop at nearby Modern Mart for a rotisserie chicken, etc. The Railroad Trail is nearby and you can walk to Paraquette (locals eat there…it is a diner) and other restaurants.

My in-laws, daughter, husband and I spend 7 amazing nights in the Beach Crest Cottage and never wanted to leave! Maria and Doug are the most kind, generous hosts, presenting us with wine and rum cake upon arrival and organizing all our transport with the amazing Cal. The views are breathtaking, the beach is empty and feels like it is all yours. Walk to the left to find amazing tide pools for little ones to swim in. A ten minute drive to Hamilton where you can find multiple restaurants, boat rentals, jet skiing, shopping, etc. We never wanted to leave and hope to be back one day in paradise!

We stayed at Beach Home 10/2-10/7/23 with friends. They had stayed 3x prior. The location is like no other, it’s right on the beach. It’s so beautiful. It’s in the middle of the island so to get to either end you’re not going more than 35min. It’s spacious and has AC. This is not luxury accommodations, but the location is top notch. We can’t wait to go back.
