First time at this hotel! A lot of construction which I understand but they should have 1 elevator just for construction workers and staff. Everyone hand Junior suite oceanview one of my clients was seeing the rooftop of the casino they were not truly Oceanview. I would consider them partial Oceanview. Food was good! Definitely a language barrier with staff. I have been to Aruba several times and never had that issue and any other hotels. Full day excursion was awesome with wili and Uncle Don went through de Palm tours. Pools had stuff floating in them constantly (they did have someone trying to clean) took another client over 3 hours to have someone fix his safe. Aruba does not have very many adults only that’s why I picked this one for my group.

I’m not one to complain I knew going in about the construction and tried not to let it bother me too much I’m pretty laid back and do t spend much time in room anyway but by day 6 the constant jack hammering was starting to get old… my only complaint was that the food options are lacking unless you like to constantly eat a buffet and the restaurant offered had 2 seatings with food that didn’t blow you away. I can even get over that aspect because we opted to go out and eat at some of the higher end restaurants around the island but what really blew my mind is how their is absolutely no beach service for food or drinks you have to walk to the pool everytime you need a drink and no place outside that serves simple bar/beach food … great vacation and beautiful location but RIU is way behind the competiton when it comes to hospitality…. Spared them any complaints while I was there as that’s not my style and also felt bad about the constant guests berating them at the lobby I will just simply vacation elsewhere.

We have stayed in Aruba over 20 times. This was our first time at Riu Antillas, It was absolutely amazing, We were there for 2 weeks and would have loved to stay for longer. The staff everywhere were all so friendly and helpful !! Beach and weather were perfect as always. Our room was beautiful with a very spacious bathroom. Construction did not bother us at all and the workers were very friendly and respectful. We have a Timeshare in Aruba but it was fully occupied so we couldn't stay there this time. We can't wait to go back to the Riu Antillas !

Outstanding service . Great location, food. All of it wonderful. Construction is underway but it was still wonderful. Our second trip. Snorkeling right off the hotel is fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

After 2 years of postponing and waiting for this trip because of Covid we finally made it to the resort and as we approached from our shuttle I can see the building and knew already that this was going to be a problem but little did I know how bad it would be until we arrived. The hotel is going through a massive guestroom renovation and is being sequenced in the worst possible way. Basically half of the hotel guestrooms and balconies are completed and the other half are not and our room was right in between so when you get off of the elevator to the left was completely under construction and to the right some of the guestrooms were completed, some not and the corridors getting to your rooms were absolutely disgusting. The jackhammering of the existing concrete balconies started at 7am and went to close to 7pm EVERYDAY. There was one day water was pouring down from the ceiling in the lobbies, got stuck in the elevator for a bit, the lock on the public toilet trapped my wife for 15 min, power went out a couple of times and those were the good parts of this resort. In no way should this property be open during this renovation and in absolutely no way should they be charging what they are and especially not letting the guests know about this prior to arrival. This building was built in 1977 and who knows if the constant dust flying around had lead pain, asbestos or some other toxic material in it from that time but you could literally taste the dust in the air. It covered everything and everyone below at the pool, walkways, etc. Complete disappointment and the fact that nobody offered us any refund, upgrade, discount or move to another building on the property or even better another hotel nearby left a very bad taste on our mouths or perhaps that was just the construction dust.
