Its been 3 weeks since we got back home from our 3rd time in our favorite place. It was really nice to get some nice sunny weather before winter here. As usual we enjoyed the clear beautiful beach and white sand.. and even though we were staying somewhere else we went to our favorite sushi place located at the lobby of the Marriott Stelaris casino.. Amazing sushi and drinks as always and the staff as well.. most amazing staff you will ever meet. Three in particular Jayna/Danny who made us delicious drinks and Aida who gave us the most nice service.. but every time we come and have sushi and drinks here is always a nice experience.. Its nice to be home, but cant wait to be back!!

I love this resort! It's beautiful and the staff is great, very friendly and nice! If I had a complaint it would be with the ability to get an upgrade. I am Lifetime Titanium with Marriott Bonvoy. Having stayed at this property over half a dozen times, I have yet to get a room upgrade. Not to an ocean front room much less a suite. I even put in for a Suite Night Award for my last trip (9/11/21-9/18/21) and was turned down. With the staff saying the property was less than 40% occupied during our stay, still "no upgrade available." I wonder if this property has a strict "no upgrade policy" regardless of Bonvoy status? If so, it should be fully disclosed when reserving so one can make a decision if this property is right for them. I also wonder of the value of a Suite Night Award if you can request months in advance only to be denied less than a week before your arrival. Again, I love everything about this property except for the lack of upgrades.

Dear Steve J - Thank you for your review and your loyalty to Marriott. Please be assured that meeting your expectations, not only meeting them, but exceeding them is one of our top priorities and I regret to hear that we were unable to give you that sentiment. The Suite Night Award is an automated process: meaning we have dedicated Suites in the inventory and it is auto-assigned base on matching the nights requested with the availability. It is something we have no control over in view of the high demand. Your loyalty and status is very impressive and we do try our best to honor and show our appreciation. We would love to host your future stay if your travels bring you back to Aruba. Warm regards, Leslie Prea - Hotel Manager.

My husband and I visited Aruba from 9/11/21 to 9/21/21. We only stay at the Marriott Stellaris for so many reasons. It’s such a beautiful hotel! And, we feel extremely welcome by everyone each time we visit which has been for 25 years now. We have established friendships with people who are like family to us. So why wouldn’t we go back?! Leslie Prea is the best hotel manager on the planet! He is very warm and friendly, truly accommodating and genuinely cares. He does what it takes to make our guest experience a 10! For us, we know he recognizes and appreciates our loyalty! I can’t imagine life without Leslie at the Marriott! He is a true leader - his staff loves him! Thank you Leslie for making us feel so special! Verna in the Executive Office is also a standout employee. She is amazing - beyond warm and lovely and really represents the management well. She has become a wonderful friend. Thank you Verna for welcoming us with open arms and for making sure we enjoy our stay! We were so excited this trip to have the pleasure of meeting Raoul, the new Complex GM. He was nice enough to have coffee with us and thanked us for our loyalty to the hotel. We chatted for awhile; he was so approachable and friendly! What a great addition to the team! He will be awesome! A new person for us this year who helped make our vacation fabulous was Francis, otherwise known as “Pope Francis”. He works at La Vista and started our mornings with fun and laughter. He kiddingly blessed us with “holy water” every morning and genuinely took care of us. What a great guy! We miss you Pope Francis! This year in particular it was a tough decision to travel out of the country due to COVID with all of the “what ifs”. We decided to go to Aruba and were very careful. We felt very safe while we were there. The Marriott is doing everything possible to follow protocol. They are also making it very easy to get the return COVID test with an on-site testing facility available in a conference room. They are going above and beyond. This was one of our best vacations ever. The water was so clear, the weather was perfect and everyone at the Marriott made sure we had a great time! Can’t wait to go back to our home away from home. My review is long overdue. I’m so sorry guys, life got busy after I got back. Anyhow! I stayed from the 2nd until the 8th and everything, and I mean everything! Was outstanding! Especially in the middle of the pandemic, with everyone masked up, and being extra cautious! & I give extra brownie points to those that worked in the hot, hot heat in their masks. Thank you! My friends got married on the Saturday at the hotel. The weather was perfect, the pools were divine, the beach is beautiful, and the food was delicious, but what makes this place outstanding are the people. Everyone, and I mean, everyone I encountered left an impression. From the bellmen, the front desk staff, the restaurant staff, the beach and pool attendants, the housekeeping team. You all run a tight ship! & I hope you know that my accolades don’t come lightly (I’m from a bratty hotel background, handled guest services, quality control, and everything you can imagine). I’m missing a few names, so I apologize, but I wanted to make sure to recognize the ones that I remembered and I’m sorry in advance, it’s a long laundry list, too. I was checked-in and out by Paola, who was outstanding, she was the perfect start and cap to my vacation! Our first night, we had dinner at Ruth’s Chris - Martha looked after us and provided immaculate service. Thank you for the birthday confetti & delicious chilean sea bass! Then we proceeded to meet up with family and friends at the sushi bar and met Romulo (Mr. Popo…you thought I would forget…lol) and Beto, thank you for handling the huge party of us even when we were a bit obnoxious, demanding, and out of hand. Beto, thank you for staying late, for providing amazing customer service, and for being a listening ear the entire week! On a daily basis, I was at that lobby starbucks counter for my regular fix. Henesi, THANK YOU!!!!!!! For giving me LIFE every morning! Especially, the ones where I felt hungover! Lol! The night of the wedding, Glen from the casino VIP team, who served us at the wedding on Saturday evening and also dueled positions and looked after us in the casino! Thank you for taking care of our entire party and for making our stay extra special! When I head to Peru, I’m going to make use of all your recommendations! The wedding was perfect and it was such a fun bunch! Adrian, our wedding bartender, great drinks! & Man! Can he dance! The DJ was great and the production was seamless. Food was so good & the cake was heavenly! I started at the beach daily, with a massive group that Isabelo looked after! Thank you times infinity! The beach is one of the toughest environments to work and 20+++ years of working, your service and attention to detail was perfection. You saw me coming and had everything ready! I hope I see you next time I come back! You’re the gentlest, hardworking, and kindest individual. Thank you for all of your service! The beach/pool bar…gosh, where do I begin…I am sorry for my drunken self. (Facepalm) I’m so glad I was nice (at least…I think I was), made you laugh, made some fond memories, and hopefully wasn’t too foolish! Thank you for your patience, Geo & the rest of the team who put up with me that Sunday. I’m still embarrassed! A few honorable mentions…Joseph at the front desk-thank you for answering my million questions! Alba, on overnights, thank you for answering all my other million questions, our housekeeping team for 557 - who quietly and meticulously serviced our room, daily! Martin, also at the sushi bar, thank you! Uri, Robert, Fernando, Franklin, Pepe, Geovanny….I swear I could name your entire staff, everyone was amazing! The OUTSIDE testing company that provides on-site covid testing was a great feature, they had a slight hiccup that the results were not getting emailed out, but we were able to fix that the morning of departure. No fault of the hotels though, the system just was having issues. We took a taxi both ways from the airport to the hotel, was I think about 35$ each way, maybe could have haggled for less, but not really worth the headache and in the middle of a pandemic, I think being kind and sharing where you can is more important. I’ll be back guys! If you’re considering staying here, DO IT! You won’t regret it! There’s also a great little spot a few minutes walk down the beach called moomba that had great food and drinks, Azia Restaurant & Lounge (Friday night with live music) was delicious, Hadicurari for dinner was good, too. I’d pass on Sea Breeze restaurant at the Holiday Inn, service nice, but was painfully slow and the food was not worth it.
