The Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino offers a lively atmosphere that divides opinion; some revel in the vibrancy, while others find it intrusive. High praise is given for the hotel's friendly service and spotless rooms, yet there are grievances concerning room quality and unfulfilled upgrade promises.
Guests adore the beachfront location and some amenities like the Tradewinds lounge, although opinions on the overall value and amenity accessibility vary, with criticisms over room pricing and challenges securing pool chairs.

Detailed Reviews
We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon and were a little overwhelmed, the hotel is large, the beach was very busy. There seemed to be chairs and beach goers everywhere.
We settled into our gardenview room, which was a pleasant surprise. It was a large room, a large bathroom, a great shower, a fridge, a safe, a TV with many English channels, a comfy bed. We had a view over the family pool with the ocean in the background, we were pleased. We had booked a limited view room and upgraded one level to this room due to my Platinum status with Marriott.
We were entitled to continental breakfast with our status. An upgrade to a full breakfast was $12 per person per day. It seemed very high priced so we stayed with the continental, breads, smoothies, fruit. It was nice that they provided paper cups to take a drink (coffee, smoothie) to go. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.
We got the hang of the Palapa system. We went online at 4pm with our finger ready to click and got a Palapa the days we wished. Many Palapas seem to have been reserved but no one showed up. Not sure what was up with that.
We were so impressed with Jancy at the towel hut, she was very helpful and patient in walking us through the Palapa system. We did pay to reserve one the first few days, a good option at $30 to not stress the process. Lots of towels at the beach and pools. I loved that they had flavoured water at the towel hut and the lobby to fill your refillable bottles.
We stayed around the adult pool one day. Very quiet and tranquil, enjoyed it. Very few spots with shade even with the stationary umbrellas. The cabanas were not appealing to me, it seemed like people were hidden away in them. Only cabana #1 and #2 had shade most of the day.
Internet was good in the rooms but also at the beach and pools.
We decided after the 5 night stay that we would definitely return.

Our experience at this Marriott was wonderful! From the moment we checked in at the front desk and were greeted by Beverly, we knew we would be enjoying our stay. Beverly was very professional, accommodating and made sure we were completely satisfied. Each time we passed her on the grounds or in the hotel, she was friendly and checked to be sure we were happy with our stay.
Our experience at La Vista each morning was top notch, as well. We were greeted each day by a smiling, friendly Vangie, who escorted us to our table and always had a happy story to share. Our servers on various days were Natasha and Liza; they went above and beyond to be sure our coffee was filled and we were enjoying our breakfast.
Naomi and JM a the pool were great, too! Each morning, they'd escort us to seats and tie the towels so perfectly so that the winds wouldn't blow them away. They were both so personable, friendly and hard-working. We enjoyed our conversations with them daily!
The only negative input we'd have was with housekeeping; it took3-4 days and attempts by front desk management for our room to be converted to feather-free (which is in our profile).
The room itself was very comfortable, but does lack adequate lighting in the bathroom shower area. Also, it would be a great enhancement to add a small ledge in the corner of the shower, for accessories, as the wire basket is very small and ours was broken.
We hope to return to this Marriott again in the future.

I am a little late in writing this review. We stayed at the property in September of 2020. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
I have been to Aruba several times, this was my first time at this property. The location is ...ok but it a bit of a distance from any of the great restaurants in the high rise district. The walk is not unreasonable but there is no signage (at least not that I saw) that could help you make you way over to the high rise area.
The staff overall does a fairly good job maintaining safety associated with the pandemic (except for 1 bartender at the adult pool who apparently thought his chin needed more protection than his mouth and nose.) The guests on the other hand - not so much. Once we saw the lax safety from guests at the main pool we tended to stay at the beach or the Adult pool which was much quieter and isolated.
Room was comfortable and A/C worked well. Housekeeping was generally ok although there was one day when the room was not serviced (not sure why.)
In terms of food. Breakfast was just bizarre. Everyday we would go to the restaurant and they would ask our room number, They would do something in their computer, get distracted and then ask us room number again. This literally happened every day. We pretty much ordered the same thing every day and every day we were charged different amounts. The table set up was different every time we went. One day I asked for preserves for toast and was charged extra. The next day I asked and was provided different preserves and was not charged extra. Sometimes there was salt and pepper, sometimes there wasn't. On a random day breakfast was buffet only - well buffets are not exactly safe during a pandemic. Lunch was generally good. Its not a robust menu but fortunately waiters will bring you food on the beach or by the pool. With so many great restaurants in Aruba, we never had dinner at the hotel.

Just got back from a week long stay at the Aruba Marriott & Stellaris casino. The resort was spectacular. an absolutely beautiful property. The beach Is perfect! We didn’t spend too much time at the pool as we couldn’t get away from the beach because we loved it so much! The adults pool is beautiful and quiet whereas the main pool is definitely more of a party atmosphere. You can get a free palapa/cabana on the beach or at the pool area (you need to book RIGHT at 4pm the day before or 7am the day of on the Marriott website.. the 7am ones are in a better location!). If you don’t do this and want a palapa you can pay $30/day.
The staff was wonderful and friendly. We ate at Atadi which was pricey but delicious (the same beach restaurant that is waves restaurant/bar during the day). We also ate at waves and got drinks there during happy hour (2 drinks for $18)- drinks were good with fair amount of alcohol. We ate sushi at the lobby restaurant which was delicious. We also had the breakfast buffet at la vista 2 days which was delicious and they also have a Starbucks in the lobby. And don’t forget to get the gelato ice cream in the lobby as well! Overall I don’t think I could change a thing about this resort! It was wonderful and perfect location to many restaurants and activities! We will be back!

We just got back from spending 2 weeks here for our Anniversary. I highly recommend getting away from the USA and traveling right now to Aruba. It's completely safe, and they have implemented protocols that keep you safe from Covid.
The resort is at about 20% capacity, but the customer service was exceptional. Ruth's Chris was great as usual, and Atardi was a nice dinner on the sand at the beach. Besides those 2 the rest of the food is above average. Next door is the Ritz, and they have Casa Nonna, which we ate at twice because it was the best restaurant we had. Their steak house was as good as Ruth's Chris, and their outside grill was better than the Marriott's. With our titanium status we had a free breakfast which includes, breads, turkey/ham/cheese, fruit, yogurt and some juice. On weekends for $15 you can upgrade to the buffet, which is highly recommended!
The casino takes every precaution possible by taking temperatures, making everyone sanitize and constantly cleaning. It is also currently non smoking, which was fantastic. I will say that we are big gamblers and gambled every single night of our 14 day trip and if you like slots, I highly recommend the Ritz as they were paying out much better. If you like tables, either casino is great with all the games available.
The beach was fantastic here, and they are very attentive with food and any drinks you need. You can rent any water equipment at multiple places next to the resort.
The only negative, and it's more about the island, is that they have a serious mosquito problem. My wife, myself and our 2 friends were bitten dozens of times. I highly recommend bringing repellent. This happened a lot at dinners, but also during the day.
We had the governers suite, which was fantastic! Plenty of room. The only annoyance is that the floors are wood and if you have noisy neighbors directly above you, you will absolutely hear everything they do.
Overall, we would definitely stay at the Marriott again, and would rank this island 3rd overall in the Caribbean behind Grand Cayman and Turks and Caicos.

I have stayed at the Marriott Aruba three times in 2020. The rates were quite reasonable I imagine due to the Covid crisis. In the peak season it is really quite expensive. Of course all “high rise” Aruba hotels are very expensive.
The hotel itself is clean and well run. The staff is constantly cleaning and disinfecting and everyone is required to wear masks. The location is very good especially if you like to windsurf or kite surf. The staff is very friendly and professional. I enjoyed eating in Lavista restaurant where the food is good and servers like Augustin and Francis are always pleasant and professional. I will definitely stay here again mostly because I’m a kitesurfer.
The pictures from my hotel room overlooking the beach. This was not the best room in the hotel, but I enjoyed the view.

Nervous about choice of hotel, but pleased upon arrival. Small line at check-in on a Sunday afternoon. Even though I paid for a garden view room we were given an ocean view room, with an exceptional view of the ocean. Bathroom was roomy enough to accommodate two teenage girls, with two sinks, separate tub and toilet area, and walk-in closet area. Balcony held two chairs and a table. We dined at several of the restaurants on site, reserved palypas for free throughout our stay, and enjoyed other hotel amenities. Housekeeping was great too.

This was my favorite Marriott I have ever stayed at by far! The hotel is beautiful, the room was so clean and the view was amazing! The swim up bar (with seriously hopping music) and adult only pool which was more laid back was great with inexpensive 2 for 1 happy hour every day. The beach is gorgeous but always packed so get to the beach early! The staff was great and the food was excellent. It is on the pricey side but well worth it! We upgraded to the Trade winds club level for a little extra but it included a nice room which was partial ocean view with a balcony but the view was fantastic! You also have all day exclusive access to the Tradewinds lounge which is beautiful and has great views and a couple of balconies that offers non alcoholic, alcoholic beverages, breakfast buffet, light lunch buffet, light snacks and more. Then they offer tea time 3-5 pm, hors d'oeuvres 6-7, open bar 7-8 and then cheese and pastries after that at 8.There are way more perks to add like a reserved beach area for Tradewinds members only for example. Even without the Tradewinds upgrade, the Marriott Stellaris would still be amazing! I can't wait to go back!

We stayed for 5 nights at the Marriott we had 3 rooms one room was on the 8th floor at the exclusive Tradewinds club. Our first attempt we were given a room facing the parking lot with a far off ocean view so we asked to switch and got a room overlooking pool and you could only see the ocean from the balcony. My kids room on the the 3rd floor 328 and 329 had the best views in the building. As you enter the door you see unobstructed ocean views. You are suppose to have extra perks to Tradewinds such as access to a room on the first floor (nice cafeteria) with water soda beer that you can take outside but due to covid there was not food out to get yourself. For breakfast you had to go into the main buffet and wait on the lines with everyone who didn’t pay for the upgrade. Lunch you could order the option of the day a small sandwich but limited choices that were not very good. Booze from 6-9 when most people are out to dinner. You also get a small area of the beach that palapas are just for the Tradewinds. You can only get the ones in the back near the restaurant and worker huts with no view of the ocean. The front is reserved for Govenors suite and they were empty everyday we were there. The woman on the beach was very rude and yelled at us if we tried to get chairs ourselves or move them into shade. The other side of the beach which was NOT Tradewinds we were able to sit in the front and see the ocean and the staff there were great. Our dresser was broke and the drawer fronts fell off we called them to let them know but no one ever came. Bathroom lights went out twice after being fixed they just stayed dim the whole time. Even just A bottle of water in your room would have been appreciated for the extra thousand dollars we paid. Having my family in the regular room and myself in the Tradewinds is became very clear that the only benefit was some waters and drinks by the pool during the day which I could have purchased for a lot less money. Save your money!!!

The Marriott Resort Stellaris was phenomenal. Our check in with Nik was flawless. He upgraded our room and emailed us a directory of things to know on property. We loved Sandra at the hotel bar. She made us a signature drink of our anniversary. It was so special. At the adult pool Gabriel and Jason went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The staff at Ruth Chris went above and beyond for our anniversary dinner and Leslie the General Manager checked in on us a couple of times.
The hotel is clean. Hand sanitizing stations are everywhere, at elevators, every restaurant, and the pools. The room included sanitizing wipes and housekeeping did a great job keeping things safe. I felt more safe in this hotel than I do at times in the US.
I highly recommend this hotel. We left planning our next getaway.
