This was our second trip to Aruba, and second time at Tamarijn. It is a lowrise hotel, which for us was a Huge plus. (More beach, fewer people) the rooms, on the first floor a basically your gateway to the beach. Staff is polite and...More
What an awesome resort!! The food was above average, the service superb. Clean rooms and beautiful beaches, what more could you ask for?
Only downside, make sure you get to desk early to make a la carte restaurant reservations as they fill up quickly.
I stayed at this resort with my husband and three kids ages, 17,14 and 11 for a week in July. We were looking so forward to this trip and we were truly disappointed. My biggest complaint was that the resort felt dirty. Beach had litter,...More

We stayed at the Tamarijn but both complex facilities are shared and it's only a short walk along the beach or road. There is a shuttle bus but it can be unreliable late at night. The Tamarijn is all about the beach, all rooms reside on the beach itself and are circa 20 meters from the seafront with all rooms sea facing. Some of the blocks at the Divi did look more modern but if you want the sound of the waves lapping the beach coupled with the amazing sunset then go for the Tamarijn
My advice is decide what it is you want, nicer rooms or the whole beach holiday experience. Whatever you chose, make sure you book the restaurants in advance for they have a rule that you can only book 2 days in advance so be prepared to get up early and queue
