We were anchored in Deep Bay and had booked dinner at the restaurant. At one time, I am sure this was one of the nicest hotels in Antigua. The hotel was in shambles. At first we thought this was the "Hotel California" It turned out we were the only people for dinner...which was horrible. If you anchor in the wonder...

I spent a few days at the hotel in Feb. The building suffered badly in the storms a few years ago, and there has been a change in management. Things move very slowly on Antigua, but the new manager is determined to make this a 5-star hotel and will do all he can to make your stay comfortable.. The rooms...

It was the worst of hotels, it was the best of hotels. I was booked to overnight at this hotel by LIAT airlines, which is a remarkably bad airline. It is about 20 minutes from the airport in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. This hotel has about 10 stories and I am sure a couple of hundred rooms....

After reading the reviews, I was quite nervous to go to this hotel, however I have stayed in some poor places - so I stayed open minded. We were given a room on the 7th floor which overlooked the beach - the view was stunning. I could not open the patio door as it was too heavy. The bathroom was...

The best asset of the hotel is the beach (beautiful !) and the kindness of the manager who was always ready to accommodate some of our requests. Otherwise the hotel is a bit run down, but the room are large with nice views from the balconies. But...internet was not working well so if you come for business it is not...

We were a bit nervous about this hotel having read the reviews on here but , all in all we had a lovely time. The beach is just perfect- one of the best in Antigua, with a bar and food and free sunbeds. Yes, I agree the hotel needs renovating, the present owner having bought it from the Antiguan government...

The place is no longer grand or royal but is much cheaper than other hotels in Antigua. It was probably a great spot in the 80s but now it needs upgrades. Floor 1 to 3 is under renovation. I didn't see much work being done which means that it wasn't noisy. We stayed there for two nights with our five...

First, I have to say I would never stay at this hotel. It looks empty and need major repairs. We were looking for a daypass for one day all inclusive. Galley bay beach ask 140$usd for a day, this place 60$. we had access to the facilities, it was clean. the food was below average: only choice from burger or...

So we get there...not a person in sight...no other visitors, staff or anything and the hotel looks like it was at one time very nice but had been abandon for about 50 years. Throughout our stay we never saw any other guest only saw maybe two staff members it was very creepy. The pool was gross wouldn't let the kids...

We stayed here for one night after our flight had been delayed & we missed our connection. This is a building that may once have been good but now is just a relic waiting for TLC [$$$'s] or demolition. There seemed to be no more than about 10 customers in this vast hotel of around 200 rooms. We could not...
