Booked this hotel for a weekend stay as we were at a family wedding. Reading reviews on here I was a bit sceptical but I shouldn't of been. On arrival we were greeted at reception and given our keys extra pillows in cupboard. There was a little bit of noise from the bar but that should be expected on a... More

Used to come here often. The pub has changed hands again and the food and service is so much better. We have come a few times for meals and all meals have been fab value. Glad to have a nice family local pub in the area!

Will not be returning anytime soon. I hope it picks up when the rooms are sorted as the owners are lovely. Do not stay in room number one Room number five was alright. Room number three was not so bad but had damp. Room number one was gross.

We had the Sunday carvery a few weeks ago - a family of six . Plenty of meat ,3 different ones and lovely veg , all very well cooked . The price was very reasonable too . The self service was a little slow , dining area very basic ,but thoroughly enjoyed delicious meals

Called in for lunch, menu is not extensive but a fair selection of different mains from curry, scampi, fish, lasagne, chicken etc. Wasn't offered a starter or dessert so not sure if they serve these. I had Chicken Korma and hubby had fish and chips. Food took around 20 mins from ordering and was well presented. It was tasty enough... More

Came here to watch the Wales game last week. Living down the road it's lovely to have a nice friendly local in walking distance. The atmosphere was amazing, with the whole pub being absolutely filled with excited fans and families. The outdoor decking was stunning, and was perfect in the lovely weather. Was going to try some of there homemade... More

Very friendly owners. Welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely stay again. Room very clean and comfortable. Do not listen to previous reviews, as I couldn't recommend it enough. For a bar and a hotel very reasonable and friendly, and noise is at a minimal.

Went to the Lodge on Saturday 19 March lots of people there and match was on. The staff had no control over children, they were riding small scooters through the bar running over customers feet. It won't be long before there is a claim if the staff allow customers to let their kids do what they like, last time here... More
