We booked this hotel as they advertised a mineral pool and spa - which are closed. Huge disappointment. If you are seeking a room with air conditioning, look elsewhere. On the positive side, the beds are comfortable, the room is clean, the towels are fluffy, and the location is fantastic. There are two places to soak your feet in mineral...

We have been walking for a month now and went for a bit of luxury with the end in sight. The check in took forever but we finally got to our well appointed rooms. This is when things went downhill. The wifi didn't work, no problem, but when we went to say something all we were told was that hers...

This is a beautiful little gem of a hotel. The rooms are very old style but the beds are comfortable and the hotel had kept its historical charms. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel was clean and beautiful. The breakfast was simple and probably not worth the extra cost. There nice restaurants nearby, try by the river....

This hotel was fully booked for the nights I wanted to stay but I did book myself in for a leg massage. All bookings are made with the hotel reception and the man there spoke excellent English and was more than helpful. The hotel is like something from an Agatha Christie novel and is quite charming in its faded elegance....

My mother and sister and I stopped in Caldas de Reis while walking the Camino. This hotel is an amazing turn of the last century gem with a superb atmosphere. We highly recommend taking in the baths as the hot waters were a great relief for sore muscles and the facility is like you are on the set of a...

I did not stay at this charming old place, but only had a 1 hour massage here as I was passing through on the Camino. Everything super clean, ancient rooms and equipment ( all well kept), and an overall soothing atmosphere. The massage was nothing special, more like a feel good treatment, and unfortunately not helping my sore legs and...

On our pilgrim way (Portugues) we stop for one day in this charming town of Caldes de Reis in this old fashined hotel with SPA to charge our batteries and heal our wounds. Cheap and nice. Hot bath (38 degree) in mineral water is highly recommended. Reborn. Pay attantion to lamps and cristall glass in this hotel. Middle breakfast, but...

The hotel is fine but a comment about the massages. I was offered a complete massage lasting one hour or a partial one lasting half an hour. The price of a complete massage was 30 Euro. When I reserved the room by telephone a week before arriving I also booked an hour-long massage for my daughter and I as we...

We discovered this hotel by accident when arriving in Caldes de Reis whilst doing the Camino Portugués (Pilgrim tour to Santiago de Compostela). It is situated next to the Church and from the outside it looks like a small old-fashioned 2 stars hotel. The room looked clean and so we booked the hotel. The rate is low, I paid e.g....
