The hotel is 1 hour north East of Porto and situated in a glorious park. On arrival you are stunned by the beauty of the exterior, but the interior blew us away-everything was perfect including the weather. Top class facilities with a superb spa, outdoor and indoor pool and we could leave our room in our bath robes and go...

Celebration of 80th Birthday A couple of hiccups but when the staff react so well to any problem you have it becomes a THE example of how to deal with issues Fantastic setting , challenging second nine holes of golf and a restaurant and dining area that are spectacular in decor

Had a wonderful time. Could not fault our bedroom or bathroom, the spa with it's brilliant outdoor jacuzzi, the food, the service or the staff. Especially enjoyed the day out organised by the hotel concierge, Angelo, in the Douro valley - dinner in a wonderful Michelin-starred restaurant, where the chef is one of the judges on the Portuguese Master Chef,...

Located just over an hour from Porto in the beautiful countryside of northern Portugal, the first thing that strikes the visitor is lack of traffic on the motorways that sweep through the pine clad hillsides of an area that seldom features on the tourist's radar. Just beyond the village and just a few minutes from the motorway exit are the...

Excellent, friendly staff. However the hotel didn't give us twin beds as requested, but upgraded our rooms as compensation. The facilities are excellent - I would recommend the outdoor jacuzzi. Breakfast and dinner were very nice - however service times for dinner were often around 2 hours.

We arrived at Porto airport and were greeted by Daniel our driver from the hotel who provided us with a prompt and efficient transfer to the Hotel. On route he pointed out things that we might find interesting which was very helpful. It was 23.15 when we arrived at the hotel and the receptionist offered us some food, which had...

We loved the indoor heated pool (15m to swimmable); the outdoor vitality pool, the grounds, the golf course, and the hotel. Bed linens, china, glasses were best you can buy.The hotel design, decor and maintenance were PERFECT. Never stayed in a hotel of this size in which everything was so well cared for. The fresh flowers, books, art were all...
