My mother and I and my two adult children wanted a night in Ferryland to go to the dinner theatre and have a road trip together. After doing some research I decided to call Arc of Avalon and inquire about staying there. Just having a conversation with Shirley on the phone I booked our night and having met her and...

The place is very nice and well decorated. The living room has snacks and coffee and tea all day. the breakfast was AMAZING! Eggs, beans, bacon and toasts. The host is really nice, great to discuss about Newfoundland with.

I have stayed at this b&b at some point every summer for the past 7 years, and it never fails to deliver. Shirley is incredibly welcoming and helpful, and offers immaculately clean rooms, plenty of tea, coffee and cakes, and legendary breakfasts (occasionally including moose sausages). I can't fault anything, and will continue to return year after year. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for a couple of days with my friends. It was really great stay! We felt like we were home! The inside of house is like a small museum it has millions of small things which, makes it vesy cosy. And the home-made jam for breaksfast was just unbelivable! It is located in quite beutiful area, so if you...

It's not hard to tell where Shirley came from, she is simply a genuine, kind and warm Newfoundlander. We loved staying with her, the bed was clean and comfy, the breakfast was awesome (try the bakeapple jam!!) and we would definitely call her up if we ended up back in beautiful Ferryland again. We found this place by accident and...

We stayed here for 6 nights while hiking the East Coast Trail. We could not have picked a better place. Shirley and Sean are great people! The place is spotless and beds very comfortable. The thoughtful little things speak volumes about them and this place. We didn't have a car and booked this place based on the availability of Shirley...

We were hiking the East Coast trail and planned on camping but the rains drove us to seek shelter in Ferryland. Fortunately Shirley had a room available for us and her husband Sean drove out to collect us from Aquaforte. We were able to get in early and take over the downstairs area to dry our stuff. the next morning...

I stayed two nights and felt very comfortable and at home. Ark of Avalon provided me with a very pleasant stay in Ferryland. The hostess Shirley, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable advising what the area had to offer. I would recommend this B & B to all my family and friends.

I travel with a friend and we needed a room with two beds, not easy to find in a B&B. Luckily, Ark of Avalon was able to accommodate us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable with its own bathroom down the hall and just off a cheery common room, all separate from the family's...
