We had an excellent meal today - 3 courses plus wine and beer for £64. The staff were delightful, very chatty and helpful but not intrusive. Pennan is well worth a visit, lovely old harbour and beach surrounded by cliffs. Just one line of houses and the Pennan Inn.

Lovely Sunday lunch . Beautiful location - world renowned. Friendly and helpful staff from booking to billing. Good bar. Food very tasty . The combination of local scottish dishes and Thai cuisine worked well for our group. Worth making the trip .

A visit to Pennan has been on my bucket list,so to speak,of places to go due to my love of the film 'Local Hero' where the village scenes were shot here. I came with my son on a quiet morning in December, nobody about, looking at the sea and the wonderful scenery, and we decided to have lunch at the Pennan Inn,which is...

The Pennan Inn acheived fame as being featured in the superbe film Local Hero. My partner and I spent two nights at the Inn and had a lovely time. We had a sea facing room which was fairly basic but very comfortable. The staff are excellent and take time to talk to their guests. We had dinner in the restaurant...

One nights bnb for two runs at £95 per night with an excellent breakfast. The dinner menu is seafood heaven nicely served. Dinner for two...

My wife and I decided to drop into this tiny Village of Pennan and The Pennen Inn on the recommendation of some B&B owners in Stonehaven. While we weren't able to get a table, it was evident on all the happy faces that this was the local Inn of choice. We were'nt very far away from our final destination so...

We ate here this evening and the food was wonderful. Whilst the choice is not huge, there is something to suit most palates and the food is excellent quality. We shared a magnificent sticky toffee pudding for dessert and would definitely recommend that you try it! It is probably advisable to book as there are only a few tables.

A local venue enjoyed by myself and friends, a real get-away from the usual pub / grub places on offer in the north east coast. Surroundings are stunning and great atmosphere, and of course the setting of the movie " Local Hero ". Never fail to have fun here ........... escape the " Rat Race ", head to Pennan !

For those that don't already know Pennan was the location for a film a while back - and they are still dining out on it now - go and have a look, see the famous phone box, and read the story on the bar wall! The bar is small, seating on 12 in the afternoon, but what the venue lacks...
