How can you not like a 400 year old farmhouse as a place to stay? Lovely building and good hosts, with a beaut breakfast. Next to the historic St Michaels church and a few hundred metres from Tintern Abbey. We had a room on the top floor which gave a good view but is quite hot at night.

A beautiful location next to the river and a ten minute walk to either the Abbey or the the Old Railway Station. The hotel is peaceful, clean and most importantly, dog friendly! Walking out of the hotel and passing through the small church yard takes you directly into enclosed fields that border the river - perfect for morning and evening...

Stayed for one night saturday 9th may, our wedding anniversary. Lovely guest house with excellent veggie breakfast. Rooms spotless and well sized, the guest house has a charm about it in perfect location. Owners helpful and offered good local advice. Would stay again and recommend.

Found this in Pets Friendly Guidebook and was a nice peaceful break in a lovely area. The room that was set aside for the dog was very clean and "quaint". Good breakfast and good walks by the River Wye to the Old Station country park. Would return for another visit.

Really quaint guesthouse with a perfect location overlooking the river and close to Tintern Abbey. Peter and Angela were great hosts and made sure we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Our room was furnished well and everything was spotlessly clean, only slight negative was the door was a bit stiff to open and close and probably needed replacing. Breakfast was...

An extremely homely and welcoming place to stay. A typically welsh, stone built former farmhouse property that overlooks the River Wye. On our arrival we were greeted by Peter, our host and immeadiately made to feel at home. Our rooms were more than adequately furnished, the beds comfortable and with the quietness of the locality, ensured a good nights sleep....

Parva is a 400 year old farmhouse that has been beautifully converted into a Guesthouse. it is by the river and within sight of the magnificent ruins of Tintern Abbey, made famous by William Wordsworth's poem "Lines written a few miles above Tintern Abbey". It is within easy reach of Cardiff - we were there the other day as we...

Kooky, trinket filled, lovely old B&B. Spotlessly clean with traditional farmhouse decor. Wonderful location, close to good pubs and places to eat. Great breakfast and we loved the cosy lounge with honesty bar where we had a few drinks after our evening meal. We requested a room overlooking the river and the view was beautiful. Their website does not really...

My companion and I spent 2 nights here to explore Tintern and to run the Offa's 'Orror trail race in Chepstow (Offa's Dyke). It's nestled in a lovely area, down the road from Tintern Abbey. The Inn itself was old fashioned in a charming way - I can't remember the last time I used an actual key to open my...

Absolutely nothing wrong with this guest house but it's very average. Breakfast was nice, location ok but not a lot in tintern and there are far prettier places to stay in the Forest of Dean. Rooms quite small but comfy.
