My husband and I loved our 3-night stay at Pyrgos! Katerina was a warm and welcoming hostess who couldn't do enough each day to make us feel welcome at this truly lovely place. Besides helping us map out our self-guided walking and driving tours, she also arranged a rental car for us. It was delivered right to the hotel, and we were able to return it to the airport when we left Lesvos. The breakfast was superb, with a delicious buffet plus cooked-to-order egg dishes to our liking. It was served in a charming dining room, which was both elegant and comfortable. Our circular room on the top floor was incredibly special, with our own private balcony overlooking Mytilene and the sea. This beautiful property has an intriguing history which Katerina was happy to share with us (complete with photos) when she wasn't tending to the needs of each guest of this very special place. We could not have been happier with these accommodations!…
We had a great room for three people and a dog. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing-so many choices! We found the hotel to be quiet in a great location. We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Room was comfortable just very noisy as I was on the street side. The bed was also very soft and low. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Small Greek type breakfast. Interesting decor - loved the old house and the furnishing. The bathroom was great.
Just spent a week here and it met all our needs. Very much not a "touristy" hotel you find in Petra etc and many guests are Greek. Our room was comfy, only a little bit "tired". The two ladies who looked after us virtually all week were very polite and had good English, We both liked the Greek breakfast: one day it featured the best carrot cake ever! but not sure how Greek? Straight walk to the harbour & city centre. Down points: only one plate for breakfast, so used both for fried food and cake too! perhaps a Greek trait at other hotels?
This hotel was a 1920s style with excellent decor. The breakfast was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were very accommodating . It was about a ten minute ride from the airport and about a ten minute walk to the start of the town. We had gone there with the sole purpose of visiting St. Raphael monestery. Hired a car for the day and found a delightful harbour named Skala Skamia where we had an excellent meal. All in all a nice experience
We have visited Lesvos several times and all of them we had seen the beautiful Pyrgos of Mytilene on our way from and to the airport and we were always amazed by how it looks on the outside. This time we finally stayed there for two nights and we saw that the inside is equally nice. The rooms are very nicely kept and everything is spotlessly clean. I had a room on the ground floor and it was spacious, clean and comfy. My colleague stayed on the top (third) floor in an attic- like room and it was great. The highlight was the amazing little balcony with the great view all over (check out the pic!) Also, don't miss out on the great breakfast, lots of options, all fresh, local, both sweet and savoury. Loved how they made us eggs the way we liked it and loved the extra touch of the freshly squeezed juice. The decoration could be considered as being a bit over the top, but ok, can't complain! There's parking, but we were parking on the little street next to the hotel without problems. The staff is extremely nice, very welcoming and very accommodating. We will definitely stay back there again. …
Old fashion style hotel, mansion style on the way to the airport in Mytilini, all rooms are differant and a little tired. Staff very friendly and helpful, could not enjoy their breakfast as had an early flight back to Athens. Terrible parking.
As a family of three, we are very happy with our stay at Pyrgos of Mytilene. The staff was kind and helpful, the rooms spacious and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast home-made and very tasty. I personally hope to see in the future more of Mytilene's breathtakingly beautiful, albeit deserted period mansions restored as beautifully as Pyrgos and used for tourism purposes.
We stayed at the Pyrgos of Mytilene the night before flying home. The hotel is beautiful. It is one of the mansions that has been converted into a hotel. It is beautifully decorated and the ceilings are amazing. So is the size of the doors. About 20ft high. On arrival we were given water and cherries as a welcome. Our cases were taken to our room for us. The room was lovely, clean and had free amenities in the bathroom which is a nice touch. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. A Greek breakfast, so a selection of all sorts, not what we are used to but nice all the same. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for being near the airport.
its a very nice hotel and so romantic the rooms are very clean you can smell the bed and the towel they smell so nice the breakfast its very good the service unique and very friendly its also close to the city center
