We have a confirmed message from booking.com here: "Your booking in Mytilene is confirmed. Olympias Boutique Hotel is expecting you on (date) May. You’ll pay the property directly." Our credit card was valid (used it for hotel, meals, rental car, shopping) and booking.com can varify the credit card was working because we immediately used the same credit card (this hotel rudely said was not valid) to book the replacement place suggested through booking.com that same day. We travel a lot...and we suggest you avoid this palce as if things go wrong in any way, you may be berated by the hotel on this forum for their own incompetance.

Maybe you travel a lot. Maybe you pay with credit cards which are valid, only in your country Here in Greece we accept certain type of cards . As a hotelier i could not accept your proposal to send me the money for your booking from your country.As you say in your review immediately after i rejected your card you could get money from the A.T.M .Dear all you have to learn that if you want to travel you have to pay at least for what you have booked.If you think that you are the clever and the other is stupid as you have seen it is not Easy. I strongly recommend to the hoteliers to avoid any future booking from you.

Historical building , nice location , clean but average rooms ...enough service and facilities... Mytilene is small but has some city characteristics. In this form of the town, the hotel was a escape point. Thanks to Dimitri.

We stayed there for 1 nights with my friends.The location is nice and central. Good breakfast , free wifi, clean rooms. Dimitris was so kind and helpful. We would definitely stay again. Strongly recommended!

Dimitris and Maria were the most lovely hosts for our short stay. They went out of their way to assist with organising car rental and provided a great breakfast. Highly recommended and each to access hotel.

It is operated by a family who are eager to help you and give you information about the island. The room was big with a/c and refrigerator. The atmosphere of the hotel is romantic. There is restaurant nearby with excellent cuisine.

We stayed here in the heart of the city for two weeks. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast wonderful, and the air conditioning perfect. Brick walls, high vaulted ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows provided the feeling of being in another era. The innkeeper, Dimitri, was friendly and very accommodating. He let us set up our office in a corner of the breakfast room, and was eager to please in any way he could. It's an easy walk to the harbor, and there is a gourmet coffee shop very nearby. We were delighted to be here, and we would stay again.

Stayed here for two weeks. The rooms are perfect. The breakfasts are included and delicious. And the innkeeper Dmitri is the perfect host. Location location location. Can’t say enough about our stay. You won’t be disappointed.

Although basic, this hotel offers everything you’d need for a stay in Mytilene. Returning after work each day was welcoming and relaxing. Staff friendly and helpful, and was able to use hotel kitchen to cook my own meals when I wanted to. Good location close to harbour and town centre.

We booked this place on December 20 for a stay first week of May, and they said they were over-booked. This is a lie...because at time of us booking, they had MULTIPLE ROOMS of the same type and price available to choose from - so they have no excuse to have to get rid of our booking. So they can say all they want about the fact they were over-booked, but this is simply a lie. It is our feeling that they get rid of booking.com or other reservation sites bookings and book others in for more money if they can. They cancelled our reservation the DAY BEFORE our arrival! Not nice to book a place 5 months prior, then fly half way around the world to have your reservation cancelled the day before the arrival - AWFUL!! DO NOT BOOK THIS IS YOU WANT TO BE SURE IF YOUR RESERVATION WILL BE HONOURED.…

In order to book for a non refundable price your credit card must valid.If you think that you can book with invalid card the something is going wrong with your brain.The card was invalid,he wanted to pay not the regular price but the non refundable.Mr David H if you think that the others(me)are stupid or idiot you are wrong.Try to play your games to other places

Olympias Hotel is a classic Greek Mansion with wooden floors, high roof and traditional furnitures. We stayed in a suite fior 4 person with 2 balconies. The WC was clean, all towels were new and soft and the beds were very comfortable. Our host, Mr. Dimitris is born in this house, had always time for a chat and had great recommendations where to eat. We all enjoyed our stay and thank Mr. Dimitris for his hospitality.
