We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is located in beautiful surroundings, its very quiet and you have a sense of relaxation while staying there. Of course due to Covid it wasn't overcrowded as well so that could be also a reason. There is a nice pool in the middle of the complex where you can relax, the patio of our room had a privacy and due to COVID restrictions breakfast was served there and have to admit that it elevated a lot the whole experience. The WiFi signal was not one of the best especially when inside the room. The personnel was kind and helpful, the owner the same. Very close to the airport and the city but far away from the noise, equilibrium. Some maintenance is needed though both for internal and external premises.
Would give it a 3,5. The positive here is that the owner will go out of his way to make sure you enjoy your vacation. There was a mixup with our rooms which he handled perfectly. The pool area is great(although the pool could use a good cleaning). Breakfast is served in the room and simple but nice. Small lunch menu. No dinner is served. There is a nice beach restaurant down the road where we ate everyday either lunch or dinner. The rooms are a bit outdated with some pending renovations. One of the big negatives here are the bed’s, which are extremely hard causing back and neck pains after each night.
Lovely little place and the people are terrific. We liked: very nice pool area with comfy seating, breakfast on our balcony, the hotel room was actually 2 rooms with airy vaulted ceiling, min-fridge. The bed linens were very nice. I had one request and it was responded to quickly and graciously. The property is about half way between the airport and Mytilene -- about 5-7 euro either direction. There's one resto within walking distance. There's a mini-market within walking distance. It was quiet and peaceful and we'd go back.
I stayed at Oikies last summer voor 11 days for the holidays with my wife and baby ( 10 months ). the location has its pro's en con's really loved the commute to Mitilini it is 6km away and the airport only 2km. and the beach and really good bar/restaurant only 200meters. the only con (which for some is a pro) is that the location is directly beneath the flypath of the nearby airport. this means that a few times a day an aeroplane is flying over the location. but after a few days i barely noticed it and my baby girl slept trough the noise. the appartement was clean an is cleaned every day. there are some signs of usages but nothing more than the usual. an other pro is that u can order the included breakfast between 8-11 and it will be served outside your apartment. this next to regular breakfast it is served with some sweet options to. we al liked it very much. the staff is friendly and helped us with al of our questions and requests. they even helped with cooking vegetables for our baby. wich made our stay an true holiday. the location is very beautiful en well taken care of even the pool aera is cleaned on a daly basis and is lovely to spend a day. with some refreshment of the bar located at the pool. i would recommend the Oikies for an holiday. please if you have any questions i would like to answer them.…
Very relaxing stay, super friendly staff, we enjoyed having our privacy and also being able to have room service. We also loved having breakfast in our private space! Great location next to the airport and 5' drive from Mytilene center.
We arrived quite late and the receptionist had to wait for us. Taxi from the airport takes 5mins and costs 8€. Normally the reception closes at 10pm. That was very kind. She explained us everything we need to know and then left the resort. When she showed us our standard house we at first were a bit disappointed because it was the first one when entering the area directly next to the parking lots. But we quickly recognized that there are not many cars and people walking by. You can leave your door open and nobody cares. The house was very nice, air condition worked perfectly. Only in the bathroom the drain grate was broken so you had a little hole in the floor and had to be careful. Breakfast is served at your own terrace whenever you want. This was strange but quite luxurious. The variety of the breakfast is nice and a good mixture of sweet and salty. But we only stayed 3 nights so I don’t know how often it repeats. The pool was nice and not crowded. One day we were complete alone there. The prices at the pool bar are fair (4€ for a sandwich) and the service is good. Around the hotel is no supermarket or anything else to buy something. We recommend the small beach bar down the street. Dinner there was awesome. What has to be mentioned is the noise by the aircrafts flying directly over the hotel. As you can basically see the runway the aircrafts are very, very low and therefore very loud. All in all, nice stay, good service, nice people, good time. …
A very relaxing week spent here in May, a feeling of quality all around Large room with vaulted ceiling, comfortable bed, bathroom nice with pebble shower, good size patio, all well cleaned. Breakfast was served on our patio, good food but only the eggs could be varied, more options would have been nice Around the pool and the beds, chairs etc were all very stylish making it a nice area to sunbathe. No denying the planes pass over very low but only a couple of times a day when we were there The staff were cheery and helpful Overall a great stay
What to expect at Lesbos? Refugees? No, definitely not. Have not seen any on the Island at all. Oikies is very close to the airport (sometimes a bit too close), but not really bothering. Staff is well organized and takes very good care of their guests. Whether it is the owner or the ladies bringing breakfast to your appartement, they are all very professional and caring. Appartments are clean and you find all you need.
Houses are small and cute; clean hotel, nice swimming pool and friendly stuff works here. Owner is available and helpful. In general it is a lovely hotel. Breakfast is served at your own patio and when you call them (8-11) so you can enjoy in peace breakfast with your family.
Everything was wonderful. The room was huge, the bed was huge. Simple but nicely decorated. Very good bathroom, digital safe, refrigerator/mini bar and air conditioning. The wifi was very strong. The grounds were lovely and so tranquil and the pool was perfect. The owner was on the property a lot was mingling with the guests. The staff was really attentive. Oikies is only 10 minutes by car from the port at Mytiline, 5 min from the airport, and just a couple of hundred meters back from the windy seafront and the noisy main road. Breakfast was made to order, which was very nice, instead of a buffet. One small thing - I would have liked a kettle in the room.
