Amazing weekend thanks to our stay in this stunning, cosy cottage. Full of character & charm. It has everything you need and the owners have thought of everything, from Logs for the wood burner to essentials which are provided ready for your arrival, bread, butter, milk, washing up liquid. In the bathrooms toilet rolls, shampoo, conditioner and body wash also...

Ideal for short or long breaks.Plenty to keep young children (and Grandparents!) occupied. Very cosy, super unexpected touches in self catering accommodation - a home from home and more. Individual cottages, spaced well apart and wonderful garden space with kids equipment. The owners have thought of every detail. We will be back!

We stayed in Dormouse for four nights with our three children, 10, 8 & 6. It is such a lovely, cosy cottage and beautifully kept. There are all the amenities that you could need in a holiday cottage and Carol kindly supplies bread, milk, butter etc when you arrive. The location is beautiful and very peaceful but just five miles...

Loved every minute of our week in dormouse cottage. Such a beautiful place very well looked after by Carole and Ken. The gardens are lovely and very relaxing. The kids play area (or the park as our toddler called it) has lots of equipment and toys to keep little ones entertained. Carole couldn't of been more helpful and always stopping...

Great rental for our family holiday, Carol and Ken are very hospitable and accommodating. The cottage was lovely and well maintained. The garden and views were beautiful and within an hours drive of most Peak District places of interest. Highly recommend and there are 2 other cottages, on site, depending on your group size. Very memorable holiday.

I'm not sure how much more I can add looking at the other reviews which seem to cover everything. Carol was great and couldn't be more helpful, the cottage we had (Hedgehog) was brilliant and had everything we needed and more. We got lucky and had nice weather so we could make use of the kid friendly gardens, but I...

Very nice accommodation, in a beautiful, rural location. Cottage owners were very hospitable and accommodating to our needs - providing equipment for our baby prior to our arrival, bread/milk/tea in cottage when we got there and owners gave us info on local area. Lots to do/see in the area, unfortunately weather was typically British so we couldn't take full advantage...

We arrived to be greeted by Carol who showed us around "Hedgehog " the cottage my daughter had chosen, it felt so homely, clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. I would have like to stay forever. Carol had supplied us with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread and butter. To stay in the cottage all you need is your food, kitchen...

“the double bedroom in Badger cottage is so light and airy ideal for preparing for a special occassion”
OLLYANDGEM, 31 May 2014 | Read review
“"Badger" cottage is great for 2 families with kids - three bedrooms (2x double, 1 twin), one double with en suite and a seperate bathroom, but the kitchen and lounge are upstairs. "Dormouse" has a ground level bedroom, kitchen and lounge room, with a second bedroom upstairs, so would be better for a family with a disabled guest (though a slight step up to the cottage)..”
