Like being a guest in a gracious game lodge from decades ago. The spacious shaded outdoor lounge areas, interior shared spaces, and comfortable suites were the perfect complement to hours driving Addo Elephant Park. All with thatched roofs, thick stucco walls, broad couches/chairs, historic prints and photos. The staff is intuitive, helpful and gracious. Food is very good. Even a...

Beautiful thatched guest house with rooms and separate bungalows in the grounds. An infinity pool plus two others. Excellent bedrooms. All very peaceful. Good breakfasts and evening meals. Has a very colonial feel to the place. All very relaxed and very welcoming.

We stayed at Hazelmere cottages which are part of the elephant house but just down the road. Beautiful big rooms, everything comfortable and spacious. Use of family pool an added bonus! The Elephant House itself has a wonderful old colonial feel and the staff are super friendly. Breakfasts are delicious and we also ate a fabulous three course dinner one...

Stayed here for one night only , which was a grave shame. Part of a pretty full itinerary but what a find ! Welcome bottle of bubbly started a great experience. Elephant drive with fun, experienced guide, glorious evening meal outside (chef cooked an off menu choice for a fussy eater !) , attentive and friendly staff across the board....

Room was adequate & comfortable with air conditioning although the absence of a toilet door may disarm some travellers! Catering was a bit haphazard - we waited farcically long for a pretty basic set menu, as did the other 20 guests. Lovely open seating areas, very cool under the thatched roof & a pleasant swimming pool & area.

Unfortunately we only got to experience this wonderful relaxing hotel for one night , but the rooms where comfortable and immaculately clean with crisp freshly laundered bedlinen . Our room also was equipped with a safe and hairdryer Our room had a little courtyard which unfortunately we didn't have time to use , but I can only imagine sitting outside...

This is a tricky one to rate. The stable cottages are outstanding, spacious and clean with a beautiful private outdoor verandah complete with table and chairs and a comfortable lounging area. The gardens are vast and well tended with a sunny pool in the centre though some umbrellas would be welcome for shade. There is another pool you can use...

My husband and I spent 4 wonderful days here. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is such that we engaged with other guests and thus met many interesting folks. The staff are so helpful and kind. Charlene is everywhere and takes care of anything that comes up. Our first day there we went on...
