We had a long way to portugal and at the evening we noticed this hostel and we decided to check it, they accepted us very nice and they set us with a comfortable room, the bathroom and the entire room were really clean. At the morning we went to eat breakfast, a great delicious and healthy food! Great people, great...

This was a lovely stop off and had so much more to offer than was first apparent. The manager was very accommodating and hospitable. Rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend taking up the offer of breakfast as it was and occasion in itself. The nearby beaches are both wonderful. Best food in town can be found...

Went with my family there, the staff were not that friendly or warming, but it doesn't matter, the rooms are a bit to claustrophobic for my taste, the colors to strong and a bit to "trance" like. The breakfast is advertised as being something other this world, it isn't. The shower drain had for long seen a good wash. Good...

Overall it was a nice experience. The settings feels like home and the ambience is great! It suits all kind of gender and ages. The location is a walk away to the beach and the hospitality of the staff is great!

The rooms were very clean, staff and owners helpful in so many ways: - Oh you forgot your towels? No problem, just borrow from us for free. - Oh you need a parasol on the beach? No, problem, just borrow one. I realize these two examples says a bit about me too, but still - these small details are what...

Cozy place, friendly hosts who treat you like family. You'll have a clean room with a nice breakfast, and a lot of information of if you want to travel the area. Great people in a great location. Two thumbs up!

Little to add to other positive reviews. We had ensuite rooms; these were pretty basic (no toiletries at Pensao das Dunas!) but the delightful courtyard garden, informal atmosphere and friendliness of both other guests and staff more than made up for such minor shortcomings.

I stayed in Pensao das Dunas for the 2nd time this September (2014) and my only wish is that I could have stayed longer!! Eduardo the owner is one of the kindest and nicest people I've had the fortune to meet and, apart from knowing how to run a guest house, he truly goes above and beyond to make his...
