I was in the first room in Camilla bungalow, which is a short walk to the dining area. The room and bathroom are large and comfortable. This building has about five rooms (most around an atrium) and two ladies are in charge of the guests and will offer tea in the morning and evening.
The dining area is bright and airy, furnished with white wicker furniture. Filtered water is on the table, but you can order bottled water at an extra charge.
I had my best meals in Assam here. The buffet is plentiful and delicious. They also make very nice fresh lime sodas.
Electricity is a bit unstable, but doesn’t stay off for long - just a minute or two. This might create a problem if trying to charge up batteries.
Wi-fi in the Camilla Bungalow and the dining area is excellent.
I stayed one night on my way to Arunachel Pradesh, and returned to have lunch on my way back as the food, ambiance, and setting are so nice.
I would stay here again.

On the way from Guwahati airport to Bhalukpong, this amazing estate near tea plantations at Tezpur were a welcome addition to our trip . Huge rooms, glamorous lobby and tastefully decorated verandahs reflected their colonial origin ! And to top it off it was surrounded by lush greenery! All foods and beverages are included in the cost, and the before dinner bonfire and music is a must-not- miss experience!

Formally, part of an adjoining tea estate, it is run as a resort now. It has 5 bunglows, including a heritage bunglow, with 3/4 bedroom each. Each bunglow is large and self contained. There is a dedicated supervisor and help in each bunglow. The food served in the restaurant is delicious. I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here. Very relaxing. The staff is courteous and the service excellent.
The Heritage Bunglow and tea estate tour with the very personable Dipak were a delight. The nature walk around the 20+ acre property, with a huge variety of plants, birds and butterflies - was the perfect way to connect and embrace nature! Just what someone coming from the concrete jungle needed!!!
A must-do stopover enroute to and/or return from Arunachal (which is what I did). The old world-tea estate lifestyle helps you slow down and just be, for a few days.

Charming stay. Very relaxing and beautiful location. Made to feel very welcome by the staff and management. Really enjoyed the food which was good home-style cooking. Evenings were fun as there was always a mini party or event there when we stayed. The management made you feel very welcome and involved you in the evening events. Most of the bungalows have been updated and I would recommend you stay at one of the updated ones. The one we stayed in also had a communal living/dining room which had some wonderful furniture and was a nice environment for some RnR. Would highly recommend you come here for a lovely relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We were six couples and stayed here for one night-27th March. A lovely property so well kept. The general manager personally took us around the property and the manager Deepak took us around to the tea garden adjoining the property. The bada Bunglow comprising of four bed rooms could remind you of the tea estate managing Englishman living in style. The food was excellent and so was the staff.

We self drove from Guwahati airport & it was a comfortable 5 hour journey to WM. Lunch was waiting for us at the lovely bright Glass House surrounded by greenery & nicely done up with white wicker furniture, colourful cushions, table ware.T he manager,Manish came in shortly & chatted with us over a late lunch. We had booked Golden Tips & they gave us the largest & best room in the bungalow. The estate is quite large & completely covered in vegetation & ancient trees. There are several bungalows on the property & each are serviced by their own wait staff who are always present. There is a common sitting room with couches, coffee tables & lamps, the walls adorned with safari themed art & ceramic plates. The rooms are a bit tired but in such lush surrounds one is hardly in the room anyway. There is a bonfire every evening outside the dining hall with a local band playing.....soup & snacks are served & one can order their drinks from the bar....the food was adequate & good.We went for long walks in the adjoining tea gardens, capturing an amazing sunset. The next day we went early morning for a walking safari in the Nameri NP. Afterwards we crossed the border into Arunachal Pradesh & took a long drive. Since we were the only ones on the property that night we were joined by Manish at the bonfire & he surprised me with an upgrade to the Burra Bungalow! A beautiful bungalow remniscient of our colonial past eclectically done up with a mix of the old & new, large colourful paintings & some lovely furniture, each corner was a visual treat. We were given the best room which was huge with a even larger bathroom covered in rugs. The covered verandah with its wicker seating looking out into the fabulous garden outside was my favourite part. The extensive gardens outside the Burra Bungalow was the size of a small park. We enjoyed our 2 days at the WM thanks to Manish & the very attentive staff.

If you want a break right in the lap of nature where the view outside is all green and the rooms inside are designed to pamper and yet so pleasing on the eye with attention to every little detail - including the most comfortable bed and pillows, then Wild Masheer is where u go. The rooms manage to be cozy despite their size with each corner inviting a sit down - and you have to see the bathrooms with a warm rug and a seating arrangement that made my little nephew ask if this was a living room or a bathroom ! There are cute curios and artefacts that have been selected from all over and blend well with the strong wooden look of the furniture - and each bungalow has a jaali kamra ie a covered verandah with huge bay windows that allows the green to make a perfect backdrop to your morning chai. The tea is also sourced locally and its a taste that you wont get in the metros. The food is amazing and served in a cheerful glass windowed room with the sunlight dancing around you. There is also lots to do in terms of rafting, botanical walks or just walk around the estate ! Both Munish and Arunima who manage the place are excellent hosts with helpful suggestions as to the activities around the place. The staff is polite and quick to answer your call but otherwise non intrusive giving you yr privacy. Its the right place to either write a book or read one or just go for a walk or a picnic with the family.

My second trip after years, Wild Mahseer still holds its impeccable beauty, rich heritage & vintage charm.
Apart from being floored by old world luxury, tasteful decor adorning each bungalow & the British tea life-hospitality provided by the cheerful team; this property brings with it a soothing touch of lush green landscapes comprising of mindful eco tourism activities like nature walks, forest bathing, tree hugging, grounding, bird watching, slow cycling etc. at the Eastern Himalayan Botanical Arc - A forest space that nestles eclectic species of flora, monkeys, birds & insects.
The professionalism, regular sanitisation of the rooms, crisp service & hygiene during the scrumptious buffet meals - maintained by the staff is commendable.
I’d like to extend a hearty ~ Thank You note to Mr. & Mrs. Saraswat for being such warm hosts & making us feel comfortable & safe during our two day stay through this global pandemic.
Definitely looking forward to another ‘staycation’(as they call it now) at the Wild Mahseer to feel refreshed & rejuvenated.

Stayed in Camellia. Cheap 2 x2 tiles in the room and bathroom do not match with quality expected of a 14k room. Linen requires quality upgrade. Food also average. Monkeys are a menace in the property

A 5 hour comfortable drive from Guwahati airport to Balipara got us to the hidden jewel of Burra Bungalow at Wild Mahsheer in late Oct of 2022.
It was like stepping back into colonial times with a heady mix of luxurious tea plantation vibes. Perfectly served bed teas and high teas in the high ceilinged veranda, an exquisitely decorated dining room. It’s table always perfectly set. The liveried staff always at call, prepared to meet our every request and make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Chef Arunima on call every day to take care of every dietary requirement.
Our private visit to a tribal village, to an organic farm, the tea estate, a cozy bonfire and different musicians every evening who played privately for us, everything was organised and taken care of by an exceptional team.
An unmatched bespoke experience of colonial charm and hospitality from which we came away pampered, refreshed and relaxed. An experience to fondly remember, cherish and revisit!
Special thanks to Munish the GM, Arunima the wonder chef who translated all the wonderful recipes to gluten free for us and to Deepak who took exceptional care to show us the best of Kaziranga and Balipara.
Suren, Ram, Rangawati and Babita were always attentive, smiling and ready to take care of every need.
