This is a friendly, moorland farmhouse, warm, well-equipped and comfortable beside the most important neolithic sites in the East Midlands, Arbor Low - like a mini Avebury - and Gib Hill Barrow nearby. Nicola and Stephen, both great runners and cyclists made us very welcome and gave us loads of good advice for places to walk (the Roaches near Leek...

I managed to speak to the owner who told me dogs were welcome as long they were well behaved and didn't eat the chicken!! oh at extra...

We stayed for 5 days at the end of July 2016. Excellent B&B. Good breakfasts. Clean with generous space for guests - a bedroom, bathroom, a breakfast room and a sitting room with t.v. Nicky & Steve are warm, friendly hosts who take good care of their guests. They have extensive local knowledge. There are books to read and chess...

A short slight up hill walk through fields ( sometimes with cows in) to the stone circle. The views are breathtaking and worth the walk alone. Quite an atmospheric place steeped in history. The farmhouse does B&B.... wish it did afternoon tea !

Nice location, close to bigger villages. Good starting point for walks, arbor low itself is very close, nice to see such a piece of history. Accommodation is good, nice people that are there to tell you were to go.

My wife & I stayed at Arbour Low b & b for two nights over half term. The location is remote and stunning. The room was very good and the extra rooms that we could use were brilliant. We felt at home pretty much from the start. Nicki & Steve are lovely folks, and do everything to make you feel...

We checked in to Arbor Low for one night while walking the Limestone Way to Castleton. It's a couple of miles off the route, but overnight accommodation in the area is scarce. We opted for an evening meal and packed lunch the next day in addition to bed and breakfast. This working farm is stunningly isolated; Nicky said their nearest...

A great base for a walking weekend. Nicola recommended a couple of brilliant walks and was so helpful and friendly. Lovely comfortable place to stay, great for kids (age 8). It was nice to have a lounge to use too.

Me and a friend stayed here for a couple of days the room was basic and needs updating, the towels in the bathroom were that hard we gave our skin a good loafing drying off. We kept on hearing the owners kids and parents shouting in the other half that they lived in, which put me off. But the food...
