We are a young couple from Northern Europe and we stayed at Albert's (that's what Ta' Bertu means in Maltese) for 3 nights. We definitely recommend this place for its owners, Albert and Violet, but advise bringing a car here for the best experience. Ta' Bertu is in the remote corner of Zurrieq municipality, south of the airport. We had...

For me it felt like this guest house was in the middle of nowhere. It was a bit difficult to find, but once you step inside the gates you are in a different world. It is a beautiful country house. I arrived in the middle of a gathering of family and friends and was invited to join with a glass...

We stayed in Ta Bert for one week in the middle of July. During our residence in the farm house we felt as a members of a large and happy family. Violet and Albert grandchildren became friends with our children. They spent a lot of time and effort creating a wonderful home. Also, they generate a wonderful jams and wine.

Violet and Albert really made us feel so welcome when we arrived at Ta' Bertu, and we very quickly felt like part of the family. The house is so beautiful, and there are orange trees and grapevines in the lovely grounds. It's a shame it wasn't warm enough when we were there to use the pool! They have a lot...

The limestone house is beautiful. The location is a bit odd and hard to find, but worth the effort. The old part of the house is about 125 years old with a 15 year old addition. All made from local limestone blocks. We only stayed for a night so have no opinion on the pool and grounds. For our quick...

“Avoid room 3 if possible, as the water tank is in the wardrobe and makes an awful shrieking noise whenever someone uses the water! One of the rooms is in a self-contained annexe in the garden, and this is probably the best room.”
