We were almost at the end of our UK trip when we spent just one night at Marchbankwood. I wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful home with character. Friendly host and a very friendly dog that just wants to play. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. Ours had a private bath with both a shower and...

Just off the M9 heading north near Moffat, the perfect quiet stop with a warm welcome from Sally and her children and Charlie the dog. A wonderful large and comfortable room , and a delicious home cooked breakfast, to set us on our way.

Stayed overnight on our way to Glencoe. A lovely, friendly, warm welcome from the owner. The owners were knowledgeable of the local area and able to recommend a good take-away, in addition providing plates and cutlery on our return. Comfortable, well appointed room and a lovely breakfast in the morning setting us up for the onward journey.

We booked to stay here for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding at nearby Auchen Castle. We had a very warm welcome from Sally, her two adorable children and Charlie the dog. This is a lovely big house in a very quiet spot with beautiful views. Sally was an excellent host for us and nothing was too much trouble for...

Sally and Alistair and Charlie (their dog) and their children are friendly and welcoming and the house is wonderful. Our room was huge with an equally huge bed and roomy bathroom. It felt very luxurious after a rather tatty cottage on Isle of Mull. The view over the countryside is great. You can walk to the village pub in about...

The warmest of welcomes, room was clean and functional, view from our room was fabulous, breakfast was excellent. About 5 minutes drive from the centre of Moffat. Would use again without hesitation when next visiting the area.

Located only a few minutes drive from the M74 but in a very peaceful spot and without any traffic noise, it was an ideal stopover for our journey to...

The B&B at Marchbankwood House is of an exceptional standard: a lovely, comfortable Victorian house, set in extensive woodlands with glorious views of the surrounding hills. Sally is an excellent hostess who makes you feel completely at home - she also cooks a first rate breakfast! We cannot recommend this B^B highly enough. D & A Omand
