Great hotel to stop at while on cycling holiday. There is good cycle storage, washing of your cycling clothes and good breakfast to get you going up with the right energy. The owner is very nice and helpful, and the staff member was a friendly and joked with us even though we spoke hardly any French and he hardly any... More

Nice and cosy hotel in a rather old building, no elevator available. Rooms on the backside are just above the railway. Rooms are big with separate toilet, no shower only bath. We had the possibility to have our clothes washed for 15 euro: not that bad. Food was ok, breakfast was typically French.

Very warm welcome, large room, a little spartan but very comfortable, excellent wifi, large bathroom with separate toilet. No English language TV. This is of a much better standard than many French provincial hotels we have stayed in. Our meal in the restaurant was of very high standard and was great value for money. The house wine was also excellent

A group from our village decided to visit this region of France and to visit the Opinel Museum and the Aluminum Museum- Lunch had been organized for us by the group leader. Had a great meal, with great wines followed by dessert and coffee. Everything was served hot. The service was super friendly and all of us had one fun... More

This hotel was a real find and fantastic for my other half who was cycling some of the famous Cols of the Alps. So many of the routes can be accessed from here: Telegraph/Galibier/Croix de Fer etc... I could go on. The hotelier is very welcoming and even provided us with a map of the many and varied mountain routes... More

We stayed here overnight this weekend. We stayed on the 3rd floor in room 35. It has been renovated and I would say for a 2 star hotel this is what you receive. The shower is the best with a nice rainfall shower head. They could use plumper pillows as the ones on our bed were too flat to be... More

We stayed overnight here on our drive through France to Italy in August and found it good value for money. Room overlooked a surprisingly busy street in the town centre but noise not a problem, room itself comfortable without being anything special. Arrived late-ish due to car problems - owner was very helpful in disposing of the car under tray... More

Tough to know where to stay if, iike me, you want to cycle Galibier etc. No real choice in the area. The Savoy is basic, to say the least. Cramped rooms overlook the surprisingly busy road. My friend's room smelled of wet carpet and his cupboard collapsed. No door to my bathroom, just a curtain. Food average, local Savoyarde wine... More
