The property is well maintained and ideal for families and kids. The property basically consists of three types of buildings within a vast and lovely garden. One of these is a heritage style zamindar themed building, another one is 2 storey mud house, but the same is no longer available .3rd type is a 2 storey modern building with all modern amenities. The whole property has a touch of vintage feeling having a lot of antique furnitures. The service is also excellent. Regarding food, breakfast is complimentary here but they have limited options for lunch and dinner. However there are a lot of options for restaurants nearby.
Stayed here for 2 nights in the red brick villa. The property is awesome with beautiful and well maintained landscaped garden and lawns. One can really enjoy nature here. The staff if nice, helpful but service is a bit slow. Food is very good. This resort is very close to the Sonajhuri and Khoai mela grounds, it takes hardly 5 minutes through the shortcut route to reach there. But I would also like to point out the areas for improvement. I stayed in the ground floor room in the brick villa. The room has old style heavy furniture thereby making movement in the room a bit difficult. Since it is on the ground floor facing the lawn, it is not possible to keep the curtains pulled back and hence the room is always in the dark not allowing sunshine to come in. Also wifi does not work inside this room whereas it works the moment we come out of the room. The bathroom has an old look with a large bathtub which has stains in it. It is also dark all the time. The small changing room has only a mirror but no racks to facilitate changing or hanging of clothes. I think attention has to be paid to make this ground floor room more accommodating for visitors. The upstairs rooms are more airy with lighter furniture and look more spacious. However, on check out we found out that one of the upstairs toilet had not been cleaned at all and was lying with all the garbage in it!! On being informed, they very promptly cleaned the toilet and apologized to us. I guess this was simply a matter of overlooking by the housekeeping staff. Apart from these minor hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel management had organized a baul performance in honour of some overseas visitors and we enjoyed the experience very much. Overall, a very nice place to stay and would definitely recommend others to stay here. We will also come back a second time.…
We stayed here for 3 nights in the RED BRICK VILLA... On the first day we have to change the room which was at the ground floor as there were some oldage people who had their room on the 1st floor. So we have stayed in two different rooms of this particular villa. Firstly the 1st floor one: Room was clean and spacious. Washroom was clean. Bed was clean too. They provide tea bag, sugar and milk powder in small size container which I felt quite unique. Wifi was working properly. The television was smart one with netflix in it. Towels were clean. Room was airy and with lots of natural light. It has a private balcony which has a drying rack too. Now the ground floor one: Room was clean but a little less space to move. It has more furniture than the 1st floor one. Mattresses are little hard, but for backpain it is good. On the contrary the room was not at all airy and no sunlight. Wifi or mobile internet doesn't work in this room. In fact there was no detection of the wifi networks. We had 3 mobiles (Iphone, Pixel, Asus) and 1 MacBook- none of then was able to detect the connections. While when you came outside the room it was totally normal and fine. The bathroom has a bathtub. No drying rack. A big glass window cum door. Service: Prompt and very nice staff, specially Pratap. They made omlette for my son without chillies without asking for it. Food: All the foods we have ordered were tasty and good. We ordered Bengali foods only. The price was also alright for us. Sonajhurir haat is about 1 km Away. You have to take a toto. It will cost you around Rs.40-50 for 3 person. The other rooms are also very beautiful 😍. …
We travelled as a family with 3 elderly parents and it was pure bliss. Huge space, big rooms, wonderful garden and very courteous staff. There are 3 buildings out of which two are let out. The White building is the Heritage Property and they have a new annexure which is also good with huge room space and furniture designs from the bygone days. The Mud House looks good on picture but is retained by owners for private use. The place is around 3 to 4 kms from Biswa Bharati campus and 2 kms from Prantik Station. A must visit if you are looking for a peaceful, noise free time amidst lush green garden
Love to visit here again and again. The distance from the bolpur station is around 8-10km. Toto will take Rs.140-150. Taxi will take Rs500. There is a beautifully designed gate waiting for you. I was Mesmorized with the landscape after the gate. Full of green nicely maintained. All staffs are really helpful. Always serve you with smile. Food is cheap and really good. Recomend to have your meal here. Rooms are realy large one and bathroom is also quite big with all modern facilities. Khoai haat and tribal village is just 1km to 1.5km away. You can get an artistic touch in all corner. I Specially recommend you to read the big book laying at the reception. You will get to know why the resort is so beautiful.
