The Bed and Breakfast is a lovely place to stay if you visit the Alishan. The rooms are nice and clean and Gordon, the owner is very nice! He took us to watch the sunset over the tea fields which was really nice! The B&B offers Hot Pot in the evening, which is also very good. Afternoon tea is included... More

We took a 3D/2N package which included transport pick up and drop off at chiayi train station , visits to Alishan, room, breakfast, afternoon teas and 1 dinner. Highly recommended for a hassle free trip to Alishan. Room is very clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a grand view of sea of cloud right in front of the beautiful gardens.... More

Took a 3d2n package as recommended by the reviews. Indeed, it was really hassle-free. The surrounding of the minsu was beautiful. Unfortunately it had been raining and I couldn't explore the surrounding as much as I would like to. The minsu has a lovely atmosphere and nicely decorated. The owner took great care in the presentation of food which look... More

Getting to this gem is a serious challenge if you are bad in direction like me, no local phone and worst very little Mandarin. Alight at the Xiding Elementary School that is the best landmark to spot and you got to keep your eyes peeled for a steep slope of narrow pathway. Lady luck shine on us that halfway up... More

The Minsu is nice from the outside, feel warmly, can see how perfectionist the owner is, from the way he served each guest carefully with nicely decorated plate of food, no matter for tea break, breakfast or dinner. Breakfast was awesome, western set and I love the porridge too. The steamboat dinner at night really warm us up in the... More

We stayed at SeasonStar as part of the 2 night/3 day package (Chiayi-Alishan-Sun Moon Lake) and can recommend it. The room (Moonlight Angel): adequate size for 2 people, clean and well appointed. Wifi was also very good. Location: In the middle of no where so a car/driver recommended. It's surrounded by tea plantation and there are some great walking trails... More

Getting there: We took a bus from Sun Moon Lake to Alishan, which took us about 3 hours. However, the minsu is not at the Alishan recreational area. We have to change another bus downhill, and alight at the Xiding Elementary School. The journey takes roughly an hour. When we arrived, we gave the owner a call, and he was... More

A pity that we could only stay one night, had to cut short the trip because of the impending typhoon coming. Location: From Chiayi station we took a cab which took about 1.5 hours to reach the hotel. The drive up the mountain can be rather giddy so do take a anti-nausea pill if you're the kind who gets motion-sickness... More

awesome place and environment! the rooms were nicely decorated too. the owner of seasonstar is really helpful though he seems to be running this whole place by himself. we are able to watch sunrise from the rooftop and sunset from a walkable distance (ask the owner for detailed directions). though staying there is really expensive, but wld still recommend it.
