Only given 3 stars because the room is too small and congested. Nothing special to comment about the place. However, its location is very ideal for people seeking to stay overnight on the mountain area. Location is great. Great cold temperatures I love. Recommended for backpackers who need a place to crash.

Accommodation within the Alishan park itself is quite limited and the Shermuh was the cheapest we could find at short notice by a significant amount (though not particularly cheap by comparison with places outside the park). As such, and having read the reviews we did not have high expectations. There is no lift so you have to walk up stairs...

The bed was as I imagine soft concrete to feel like, the decor was old and grubby, the tap loose and the general ambience was, I surmise, one of a cold war Soviet hostel, cheerless and physically cold with some form of heating coming on around 7.pm. Breakfast was served buffet style in another building together with another hundred Alishan...

The Shermuh hotel is ideally located inside the boundaries of the Alishan national park, within walking distance from the restaurants, the gift shops and the train station that leads to the top of the mountain where you can watch the sunrise. It is probably one of the better values for money half way between the over-prized luxury hotels and the...

Very basic hotel in Alishan located in the hotels area, 5 minutes climbing to the train station. My unattractive dark room was on the fifth floor with very small aperture, basic shower room and hard mattress for an uncomfortable sleeping. No elevator in the hotel and no breakfast in my case. Saying all that, the room was clean and had...

Typical basic hotel in Alishan tourist area. Basic facilities with high price. Room is small and bed is very hard. Do note that this property do not have lift facilities. I am traveling with my mum and we were arranged in a room at level 5. It was a nightmare stay for my mum as she is having difficulties to...

This was the hardest bed I have ever slept on, may as well slept on the floor. There was no where to hang any clothes. Wi-Fi only worked on first floor. Breakfast nearby was not very good: no fruits or juices or Western food and room was very crowded. Room was smelly every time the commode was flushed. Room was...

I liked the stay here. The room was simple but had everything you need. (Hair dryer, water filter, towels, fan, mirror) The room and the bathroom were clean. The shower provided a strong stream of hot water.

If down to my own choice I would never have stayed here but I was on a package tour holiday and had to stay here for one night. The hotel room was small and dark and had quite an unpleasant damp smell. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the bathroom was very dated and not very clean. In another...
