As we arrived, Guy waved from the garden, and Linda appeared on the wide front porch, all smiles. We were tired from a long drive followed by two hours at the Kauri Museum, and ready to just park the car and be pampered. Our hosts obliged us perfectly, presenting us with freshly baked cake and tea, and escorting us to...

We stayed for one night and had a smallish room with an equally cramped bathroom comprising a toilet, shower and basin. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and the room was in need of a deep clean to get rid of spiders and webs. We provided our own evening meal and did not try the cold platter. The property is...

What an idyllic setting! Perched on the top of a hill with the most fantastic views all around. So quiet and peaceful. The room was very comfortable with a wrap around balcony to the property so that everyone can sit outside. We were given a very warm welcome by Linda and Guy, a lovely and interesting couple. Guy makes the...

..........Linda and Guy are so hospitable and their home has such a pretty, secluded setting. Do not expect welcome baskets, cooked breakfasts or a grand house. We relaxed and enjoyed the experience of being in a super place so far from home. Guy from Provence, met Linda , a Tonganese/Scottish New Zealander, in a youth hostel in Alice Springs (Australia)....

Linda and Guy made a beautiful setting all the more special. We were made to feel very welcome in their lovely home. Spacious en suite accommodation with stunning views. We took advantage of the supper platter, delicious, as was the continental breakfast the next morning.

This was booked as the last night for us in NZ, we wanted somewhere quiet and beautiful, we got it! Linda and Guy made us very welcome and really spoiled us for our final night. The location is spectacular, poor Linda was recovering from a fractured ankle, but still managed to play the perfect host. after dinner it was great...

We were made so welcome by Lynda and Guy. An email 2 days before arrival to make sure we had the correct directions was very helpful and thoughtful. Our room had the most wonderful views with a pleasant deck to sit out on. We had ordered a platter as there are no nearby restaurants and it was very good. Breakfast...

Petite Provence B & B, an idyllic place to stay. Lynda & Guy (he is French) are charming and hospitable. After 25 years in Provence they now provide a French Provincial setting for their guests. Charming en suite bedrooms and the opportunity to use the living/dining room as our home. Coffee / tea and cookies on arrival and a wonderful...

Warm welcome in this beautiful landscape!! The owners Linda & Guy prepared us a wonderful platter of fresh products from the garden for only 25$ included a nice cheese board. Clean and tidy rooms. Guy is passionate by chairs and showed us the way he built them! Impressive! What a lovely place to stop and visit the fantastic harbour of...

Merci Alexis-seesee for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed our platters as I was rather worried (knowing the reputation of French cuisine) at the thought of serving 3 French chefs travelling together. Amities

A bit remote, but lovey views, lovely hosts and good food. And the hosts have both lived in Provence for a long time so it really is a little bit of Provence in NZ. Two and a half hours from Auckland so a nice stop before heading back to Auckland.
