We stayed 2 nights in this campground during our visit to Zion NP. We had a perfect site (Loop A, site 5) which provided a lot of necessary shade (topped 100 degrees the time we were there.) With that said "riverside sites" are the closest to the river but the river is still at least 50 yards away & on...

We stayed at the Watchman Campground for one night. Very nice location, with easy access. Our site easily fit 2 tents. We had a great view of the canyons. The price was certainly inexpensive. One complain (at least in the D loop, where we stayed) was that the sites were very close together - not a lot of privacy. We...

The only regret we have was the lack of time. Unfortunately, we arrived late at night and had to leave again the next day after breakfast. But what an arrival in fantastic corner of the world! I will not forget the clear sky with millions of stars before falling asleep and the equally fantastic views in the morning with spectacular...

We stayed 3 nights (18$/night) reserved and prepaid. January 2016 fees will increase substantialy : 30$/night. Electricity at each camper site (in loop A+B), central dumpstation, sanitary station flush toilets (but no showers) and a sink. Some sites in loop A are just beside the Virgin river and are a little bit more expensive. Make an early advance reservation (4...

We had site D29 I think which was fine but not the most sheltered or private. If we went again I think I would try for one of the walk in sites or maybe D19, D20 or D21. I didn't get a chance to check out the other loops. Location is brilliant for the visitor centre and the park shuttle....

We stayed at Watchman Campground #D21 for 2 nights. Our spot was very nice with no one behind us and mountain views, but the sites were pretty small compared to the sites at Grand Canyon National Park where we had stayed at earlier in the week. Also, they had no showers at the campsite or in the national park, which...

Towed our travel trailer here from California. We stayed in a site with a 30A hookup. The Virgin River adjacent to the campground has a couple of great swimming holes and the temp is nice and cool on a hot day. Deer walk freely through the campground. It was nice and shady here, too. We didn't use the bathroom facilities....

We stayed here one night (scored the last site about 30 minutes before we arrived!). Very spacious spot C17 with amazing views! Enough for 2 tents and just a few steps from the restrooms (flushable toilets). Everyone was very respectful to the 10pm quite time. Slept great and wasn't hot at all at night.

The backdrop of the watchmen provides a striking view in the morning. Nights are lit by the pin-holes of innumerable stars and stirred only by the hypnotic chirping of insects (perhaps less romantic). For the camper's camper, the walk-to tent spots are just isolated enough to find peace with nature. For the casual camper though, the showers are a solid...

Watchman does have amazing views from the campsites. That is the best part. The sites are close together and very open. There is no privacy in these sites. Although the views were amazing it did not feel like you were camping out in nature. The park and campground were extremely busy. The sites seemed overloaded. We were not in the group camping loop yet we were...
