We loved our experience at Loft Mountain. We took a tent site which we loved since it was off the main road and quieter than the pull through spots. It was first come first serve since we had to change our plans last minute but the ranger was super helpful. The camp store attendant was very friendly and we loved...

We stayed just one night in site A2C. It was "walk-in" but the parking lot was about a 30 second walk away. We liked the tent-only section since we were set back from the road and didn't get the headlight glare, and were further away from the sound of generators. Our only problem was since we got there after dark,...

My son and I went camping here in site....wait a second I really liked my site and if I have it away it might be booked next time I try and reserve it so I will keep it on the hush. But there are plenty of good sites. All prices at $15. $20 to get in park unless you have...

Great place to pull in for road trip. We was able to get a pull thru site and it was easy to get in and flat so not too much leveling was needed. Most sites looked like they was very similar. Water and dump was easily accessible when we was leaving. Will be back.

Stayed here with the family in July and we found it to be quiet, peaceful, and had very accessible hiking trails. We camped in a tent for two nights. No issues. The bathrooms were clean. And a very short (<2min) drive down the road was a pay shower, which was very clean also. I think it was $1.25 for 5...

Loft Mountain was nice. Most of the sites are pull through and there are walk-in tent sites in A loop. Some sites are close to each other, but generally better spaced and more private than Big Meadows. Limited showers are a 1/4 mile from the sites (walk or drive) and are closed for cleaning from 1:00 to 3:00 pm daily....

Stayed for six nights at A10C (walk-up) late July 2016. Had to walk down a short distance to tent pad. Our 6 person tent just fit. Bear box was useful. Very quiet early at night on weekdays while the weekend was much livelier. Some tent sites we looked at were more of a hike from car. The night temps were...

The first of the campgrounds, if approaching from the south end of shenandoah. We planned to camp at big meadows but had to settle for loft, since big meadows was full. The campgrounds are kinda uneven which really makes it difficult to find a good spot if you are a group of 4 and have to set up 2 tents,...

Spent the weekend at Loft Mountain Campground. We didn't have a reservation so we were sure to arrive early enough for a first come, first serve, site. We arrived around 11am on Friday morning and had plenty of tent only sites and RV sites, if we wanted. We drove around a bit and decided on tent site A11. Great site!...

We stayed at Loft Mountain campground from a Sunday night to Wednesday in late June. We loved the A2A and A2B campsites. They are near the road, close to the bathrooms yet secluded. The great thing about the bathrooms here is there are a few of them so they are not crowded and very, very clean. It's nice being close...
