Very quiet location and beautiful views and great lodge. Restaurant and Bar also excellent with great entertainment, only complaint was the coffee at the gift shop Can't beat the mountain trails and views

Beautiful location, stunning stars, a communal fire-pit, and live music. Huzzah for all that! The restaurant left a little to be desired for dinner, and the room's bathroom could have been cleaner - otherwise this was great.

Overall, our experience was very satisfying. We used our Shenandoah National Park Association membership card to get a 30% discount on our lodging, 20% on each meal, and 20% on each purchase in the gift shops throughout the park--Well worth the price of $47 for annual membership. We were treated as special guests wherever we went (except at one gift...

Beautiful setting in Shenandoah National Park. We stayed in one of the buildings detached from the lodge. The room was comfortable but spare, with hard floors (likely because of the wood-burning fireplace. Enjoyed the fire in the cool autumn evenings. The only complaint about the room is that the bed was too close to the heat register, and when the...

The lodge is great for those who want to unplug. Dont expect TV or WIFI, you are in the mountains for a reason :-) Food is a bit expensive and there are no refrigerators/microwaves in the rooms. (Or at least in the room with just a double bed.)

The beauty of the setting and close access to attractive sites is the appeal of this lodge. The rooms were clean, attractive and comfortable with a lovely view. The staff at the lodge were very attentive and friendly. The food in the dining hall was good, not spectacular but not overpriced. This older facility could use a few updates but...

Great experience but with election pending did hope for TV viewing; but now we are home and see all we need to see. It was the last week for Big Meadows; hence, some staff may have been less happy and forthcoming than would be mid-season normal.

Great place to get away and enjoy nature. Beautiful lodge with Great Room and very nice dining experience. Deer often come up right around the building. Right on Skyline Drive, in the National Park, so very quiet and peaceful. Wonderful place to spend a relaxing few days. Short drive into nice little Shenandoah Valley towns with craft and antique shops.

We were apprehensive when we drove up, the buildings look rustic, as I guess they should being in the middle of a National Park. We were in #72 Crescent Rock. The buildings have 8 or 9 units each. Ample parking and a short downhill walk from the parking area to our unit. Firewood was stacked outside for the wood burning...
