What a great late summer respite from the heat of Texas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Tents were as expected. Beds comfortable. Communal bathrooms were kept clean. Food was AMAZING. Assigned dining at night turned out to be a blessing in disguise...met wonderful people at each dinner! Great hikes from the camp. Would recommend to others looking for a new experience,...

We spent a last minute surprise anniversary weekend at this amazing property. The food, the staff, the facilities were top-notch. The views and location were utterly amazing! To find such an experience and luxury venue in an idyllic place is incredibly unique. This is the real-deal. You've got to hike in, so carry only what you relaly have to have,...

Honestly, the views and dinners were amazing. We just got back so was the end of the season and very VERY cold at night and dinner. Since dinner is outside, we wore hats and gloves...nothing wrong with that, but for $500/night, you think they could invest in space heaters for the amazing dinner experience. The hiking was great as well...

-I am sorry our guest did not see all of our many maps. We have a map hung on the wall, we have topographical maps on the table, we have U.S. Forest and National Park service maps and stacks of our area guide books with maps. We have a knowledgeable staff to advise our guest on various hikes. -He requested...

I would highly recommend the Sequoia High Sierra Camp to anyone looking for an eco-friendly wilderness experience with wonderful creature comforts. My husband and I plan something special for our anniversary each year and we found the Camp the perfect setting for our recent 3 day anniversary get away. The Camp is remote yet accessible via a one mile hiking...

Where do I even start? This place is the best. It's a completely unique experience. Sleep in your tent, wake up to coffee and a delicious breakfast and chat with fellow campers, then pack a lunch and hike all day. Return for a snack and a drink, then have a five-course gourmet dinner and then sit by the fire. The...

Burr and Suzanne are the best and warmest hosts. They treated us like we were their own family members. The camp is not easy to get to. The last 2 1/2 miles on an unpaved road was challenging and the one mile up to the camp was not an easy hike for me and I think it is due to...

This is truly a special place with amazing views, welcoming hosts and incredible food! If you are a reluctant camper - this is a great place to start! We took the 12-mile hike in... and they're not kidding when they say it is "challenging"! But if you're up for a lot of altitude gain, (and then loss and gain again...),...

This place is totally amazing. You have a 1 mile or 12 mile option to walk into the camp and then you find brilliant views and great hospitality. It takes a while to get used to the altitude but everyone was puffing and panting. The tents are well equipped but basic, but really comfy beds. The food is fantastic. Make...

This is my third "glamping" experience and one of the best. I will try to give you an impression of what it feels like to go to this very unique place. You will walk in with a small pack on a lush moderately difficult, short trail. Check in at the gorgeously designed hub and you are shown to your tent....

We celebrated a wedding anniversary with a three night stay at SHSC. It was a unique and marvellous experience. The one mile hike into the camp begins with a steep climb, and at 8,600 ft. elevation that can be a challenge. The service was exemplary and the meals were incomparable. 5-star cuisine! We met new friends and enjoyed their company...
