The Cedar Grove Lodge provided excellent amenities and the staff provided warm and welcoming hospitality. The Cedar Grove Lodge was more than a "basecamp" from which to explore Kings Canyon. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Cozy room. Small window and bath. Plan to spend lots of time outdoors soaking in the gorgeous riverfront property and nearby hiking opportunities. We really enjoyed the hike to Mist Falls at the end of the road (9 miles roundtrip, mostly flat). Be sure your car is in good working condition as there is no garage in the canyon.

This hotel is called Cedar Village ,not Lodge which several people found confusing as it's not on the Sat Nav .It is however a comfortable enough hostel like accommodation very convenient foe hiking that end of the Canyon -in fact ,it's that or camp .There are issues like small rooms but we slept well there ,the shower worke fine and...

It is not a top-notch lodge, but that is not what you go to Kings Canyon for. The rooms and amenities were more than fine given the remoteness of the location. Its location by the river surrounded by mountains and meadow can't be any better. If you plan to stay in the park for more than a day, by all...

The room we checked into was much different from what was described online. There was no air conditioner and no windows that could be opened very dark and gloomy with several doors to the room without latch or chain security. We requested to change rooms which they took care of promptly. The second room was much closer to the description....

We spent two nights here at Cedar Grove and one could not complain about the setting. We had a patio room just steps from the river and it was just beautiful. The drive to the lodge is just outstanding, Kings Canyon is certainly underrated! One major complaint however, was the cleanliness of the room. We spilled some water from our...

We experienced a friendly and warm welcome once we arrived there. Based on the fact that you are in the absolute wilderness, you could expect even less comfort. So we were not dissapointed about the size of the rooms and the comfort of the beds, but the cleanliness in the bathroom could be improved. You can see that the corners...

This lodge is not luxurious but that doesn't matter. The rooms could be a bit better (dodgy bathroom door) but all of this pales into insignificance when you see the area it is in. To be able to sit outside with the river flowing past is amazing. We were told we might see bears but didn't. It's so quiet and...

2 night stop on a family road trip. Kings Canyon is remote and the drive in there is not for the faint hearted. Once you get there the Lodge is a big timber building; the balconies on the photos are for communal use and most of the rooms themselves are on the sides of the building. You can't check in...

We enjoyed everything about this lodge until it was time to sleep. We stayed in room 3 and there is a paper thin door connecting to room 4. There were some teenagers staying in room 4 and we could hear everything until midnight. They were loud and finally stopped because I was ready to start pounding on the wall. They...
