It's very peaceful here, and the dining was really very good and exceeded expectations. Note, there is no television in the room and no internet access, which may be fine...but you can always sit in the lobby and enjoy free wifi with a nightcap. The...More
We stayed two nights at the lodge to enjoy their Thanksgiving buffet. The food was amazingly delicious. The staff managed the expected 600 diners with effeciency and good service.
This was only the second year for this feast. Flocks of multi-general families creating memories. The...More
We checked in on a Sunday and stayed until Friday and even though this was the rainy season we were able to hike to the Marymere Falls the first day and it was full and beautiful. The forest is enchanting and the air is clean...More
A wonderful getaway in the heart of the Olympic Peninsula! Dog friendly with cozy cabins and motel like options. The beach is wonderful and the restaurant was very, very good for a National Forest facility.
The location could not have been better, but everything else is mundane. They know we will visit for the view and do not seem to care. the restaurant was not so good but nothing else is nearby. the bed was reasonably comfy and the bathroom...More

Depends upon both the toddler and the stamina of the parents carrying the toddler. Firstly, the lodge is fun and has a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains surrounding it. There is a spacious dining room and I would be fairly certain that the restaurant will help out with whatever your child might eat (although I don't recall a specific child menu). Secondly, there are numerous trails spreading out from the main area of different lengths and difficulties. I'm certain the main desk can advise you as to the length and challenge of these. If you would want your child to walk, then obviously you'll take a shorter less difficult path. If you have a child backpack so you can carry him or her, then you can go as far as your strength will take you. There are also boat rentals. Not certain when that season starts, so you should check with the desk. Finally, pick your room rental depending upon whether you want an ensuite bathroom or not. The rooms in the main lodge, I believe, only have shared bathrooms in the hall, which can be difficult with a child, so although the main lodge is most attractive, you might want to select a more family friendly room in one of the outer buildings. That said, those outer buildings are really not far off from the main lodge and the restaurant. Just walk past the large parking lot and you've reached the lodge area.

Hi Jill, Calling them would be the best way to get the correct answer. Getting room reservations was pretty straight forward. Getting the dining room was very frustrating. I was forwarded to voice mail. I called several times and left voice mail message each time asking for a return call. They never called back. About the fourth time I called I got a real person. All fine from there. Good luck.
