Our first time staying at Lake Crescent. And also our first time having Thanksgiving dinner out, rather than at home. We rented three Tavern Cottages to celebrate Thanksgiving, with 4 generations of family members participating. 5 star dinner and 3 star (rustic) accommodations. Thanksgiving buffet was quite excellent. Friendly staff and quiet setting made for a most enjoyable evening. The... More

We stayed 3 nights, with unexpectedly low off-season rates. We decided to stay in the Marymere rooms, which are a single-story motel-ish complex on right on the lake a couple minutes' walk from the main/historical lodge. (I read that these were built by the then-lodge owner for the inrush of guests expected around the 1962 Worlds Fair in Seattle.) These... More

Elegant lodge that plays 1940’s music persistently in the background. Spacious sitting room around the fireplace with nearby bar serving drinks. Recently updated store sells souvenirs. Adjoining the main room is a very nice sun porch with many panes of glass that provide a beautiful view on the spectacular mountain lake outside. Dining room, also with a view of the... More

We stayed in one of the Singer Tavern Cottages, which are like basic hotel rooms--more charming on the outside than the inside. But the location! We were too late in the season to canoe on the lake, but it is so lovely to look at or walk along. We enjoyed the hike on the Moments in Time trail and the... More

We stayed here as a “pit stop” between Olympic and North Cascades National Park and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip! It was funny because we met people in the National Park who were jealous we were staying here – and now we know why. The saying, location is everything, definitely applies to this place.... More

Location: When I traveled out to the Olympic Range 3 years ago, I promised myself I would come back and spend more time at Lake Crescent. It is a picturesque lake with breathtaking views and a lodge and cottages right on the water front. With its pristine deep and clear water from local snowmelt, the Lake has flat trails, waterfall... We spent a night in the Marymere building, but went to the charming, cozy main lodge for tea when we arrived, and for dinner and breakfast. All buildings were well cared for, and the lake is beautiful, with mountains rising from the water's edge, dramatic with low clouds when we were there. Our room had one door on the parking... More

First, There is no doubt that Olympic National Park is lovely! Unfortunately, the lodge was a huge disappointment. Problems: 1. 3 Hour delay to check in for room. We arrived a little after check in time (4pm) after a day of hiking. We were tired, sweaty, and ready for a shower and some dinner. BUT, the room was not ready... More

Very clean and comfortable lodge with friendly staff. Comfortable beds and excellent food in dining room. We were able to hike with kids in the area surrounding the lodge and the waterfront was clean and fun. They had kayaks and canoes for rent but we were unable to use them due to a storm. Highly recommended.

We were impressed with the setting and how well maintained the lodge was. Our room was in the lodge and there were communal bathrooms. Noise level was not a problem and the room was spacious and nicely decorated. We did not do the place justice with only staying one night and when we return we will probably rent one of... More
