We stayed in the end, nearest, Singer Tavern Cottage #5. Actually we'd booked a Marymere, but when we checked in, it wasn't available due to a maintainance issue. We got a free upgrade. I was amused by the Tavern Cottage description! It's actual a comfortable motel style room, with wood floors, a verandah and two comfortable wooden arm chairs, sunlit...

I recently booked a reservation at Lake Crescent Lodge. I mistakenly realized I had booked a date that was not possible for my significant other and within 10 minutes called back to cancel, with the understanding that cancellations within a short period of time such as this were sometimes permitted. They charged me $25 for the cancellation robotically sighting policy....

Absolutely a 5 star setting. But an eclectic array of rooms: 2 sets of cabins, 3 motel type rooms, with varying views of the lake. It's hard to get a sense of what's available and what view you might have when making reservations. We were in the Pyramid set of rooms, our view was through a meadow to the lake,...

I understand that this is rustic and historic lodging. I have stayed in similar lodging in other national parks. The primary purpose of lodging is to provide a comfortable place to sleep for the guest. When there are numerous, large carpenter ants coming and going from the room, a room fails in its primary purpose. I had a room in...

The lodge is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the pyramid rooms which were also very nice. The walks around the area and the scenic parts of the Serene place are beautiful. Beware of housekeeping that did not make up the rooms and did not clean anything up in all four rooms that our group had. The restaurant was absolutely delicious...

We looked at a brochure of a beautiful cabin room and ended up in what felt like a duplex fishing shack. It was right next to the parking lot and sidewalk. The sidewalk was literally three steps from our little porch. THE SIDEWALK WAS BETWEEN US AND THE LAKE. So - when we tried sitting on the front porch people...

The lodge is, in some sense, the only game in town, or one of very few--it's actually in the national park, the setting is uniquely calm and elegant, and it offers everything you need for a civilized stay--nice food, a well-appointed shelter, a quiet, orderly environment. The lodge itself is splendid, spacious and comfortable in a way that modern buildings,...

Not sure why a lodge would try an imitate a Michelin 5 Diamond restaurant. Prices have increased and portions have decreased. After coming in from a full day of hiking, I want my meal to reflect my surroundings and my appetite.

I love our national parks, and want to love the lodges. Aramark is not doing any favors since taking them over. With this lodge, it's nice inside with leather furniture and a lovely fireplace, but the rooms are sparce and the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. You can easily stay 20 min away in Pt Angeles, not a gem...

We stayed here for 1 night and the place was beautiful. The lake was calm and the scenery was beautiful. The room was basic but nice, clean and comfortable. The lodge has a dine-in restaurant which was a bit pricey but not too much! The hotel staff were very friendly. You can rent paddle boats and canoes and go on...
