Don't expect good customer service at Mammoth Cave Lodge. We had multiple reservations scheduled at this location, and the staff completely bungled the whole thing. From switching our rooms from the lodge to lesser accommodations to outright cancelling our reservations, it was a

My family, including 5 children from 8 months to 10 years, recently stayed at the Woodland cabins. The temperature reached near or below freezing both outside and in, as there was no heat, no insulation, and open vents in three of the rooms. We were given one space heater and

The cabins are definitely on the funky side. But you can avoid the hassle of getting up each morning and driving to a tour. They were clean and the bed comfortable. No WiFi. No TV. And the only place to eat (unles you bring your own food) is the lodge grill. But I loved it!

Are there any self service laundry facilities at the hotel or nearby?
See above. The laundry is very close by...adjacent to the camp store. Enjoy!

Yes it was there last summer when we were there. But I noticed signs that said there was going to be a new park concessionaire. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Are they really tearing down the cabins?
Nope, we stayed in a "historic cabin" last month and it was in good shape. We saw several other cabins being used that night so they were definitely open for business.
