It's was a fantastic experience! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I camped solo in a tent, and I was lucky enough to get a spot that was pretty far from the other campers. Make sure you lock your food up though! Bears sometimes wonder in looking for your food!

One of our favorite places to stay... Fills up slower than the other campgrounds in GTNP. Usually where we stop be when we know we will be doing Yellowstone, and don't want to figure out the crowds in YNP. If you need some place with showers try Colter Bay or Signal Mountain. We just drive up there and stay where...

Arrived late in the morning and had no problem getting a spot. Staff was friendly and helpful. $24 to camp and $6 for firewood (if needed). Quick walk down to Jackson Lake where you can swim, fish or just relax and enjoy the wonderful views. Quiet time from 10 to 6. Just a short drive to/from Yellowstone. Our site did...

Lizard Creek Campground is an oasis in the often crowded scenes at both Grand Teton and Yellowstone. We were lucky enough to score a site that has a view of Jackson Lake. It is serene, and you can walk a few steps to get to a quiet rocky beach. No generators in this loop. The only downsides are poor facilities,...

This is first come first serve, but isnt one of the first in the park to fill up. It is conveniently in the north if you are heading the Yellowstone afterward. It is really a great tent campground, and maybe the best in the park. We were fortunate enough to get a spot right across from the lake, which was...

We arrived around 9am and were able to get site #38 just as another family was leaving. This site in particular was awesome because it had private access to the lake, good tree cover (to block some of the strong sun and heavy winds), easy access to the bathrooms and water, and a fair amount of privacy from the neighboring...

I don't want to say too much as I feel as if I am giving away a secret. Large, secluded sites with lush trees and lake access . . . perfect! Yes, mosquitos are active at sunset and will chase you down. We had our own private beach and swam both evening and morning. Bathrooms were clean and the campground...

We had never been to Yellowstone nor camped in bear country. I really liked this campground. If you wanted to hike the Tetons or hang around southern Yellowstone it's a good place to be. This year (2015) Yellowstone campgrounds are all sold out by mid to late afternoon. We got to Lizard Creek around 2 and got the perfect site....

We only stayed here a night and we did shower elsewhere so cannot comment on facilities. Toilets were clean. There are some beautiful spots near the water and you will be sure to capture some beautiful sunsets here. We really enjoyed it!

My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the tent camping sites for a couple of nights and had a blast. We arrived at the campground later in the day than we would have hoped but were very pleased to find a few sites still available. I thought the site was great with plenty of foliage to block the view...
