Location is great for exploring the Grand Canyon. Within walking distance to Market Plaza and Visitor Center. However...check-in staff were rude and condescending, our room was dusty, carpets cold/damp, carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed, sheets did not fit the bed, towels were stained/dirty. Heating worked well. Obviously when visiting such an amazing National Park the intent is... More

I only stayed here for one night and wish I had longer in GC. I booked an east wing room and it was very spacious and comfortable. It's the only hotel I've stayed in on this trip with a safe in the room which I liked. Staff were helpful and friendly, providing a map and helpful info at check in.... More

Great hotel for a few days in the Grand Canyon. Comfortable beds with air control (stayed in East), served as a great refuge between hiking and exploring other parts. Village stores were very well stocked with food and beverages, although no bottled water (only gallon + sizes) so plan ahead with reusable items.

We booked at the Yavapai Lodge because we had two nights at the Grand Canyon and wanted to stay within the park. However, by the time we made reservations, the more historic El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodges (which are both located at or near the canyon rim) were already full. Fortunately, Yavapai still had rooms available. The only downside... More

Our family of 4 stayed here on our visit to the Grand Canyon. The rooms were clean and quiet. It is so convenient to the Canyon, and we were glad we stayed in the park. The view from the room was of the forest- nice view. The Yavapai restaurants and General store are very close and very nice. I recommend... More

We stayed for a night @ Yavapai. The family rooms were quite spacious, very warm (yes, it was very cold outside) and served as a great base to explore the beauty and grandeur of the GC. We were able to step out for sunset and sunrise given that the hotel was inside the national park. No wifi or mobile connectivity... More

Our East Wing room was comfortable, especially the bed, although the bedding didn't fit the beds. Being a National Park, there was a big push on being environmentally friendly. Reusing towels, quick showers etc. Lodge employees were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was not available except for in the lodge lobby. I have Verizon and had excellent data coverage throughout... Nice little place. Clean. Well maintained. It's basically a Motel 8 with good real estate. Very close to the canyon and the bus route in the village. Nice restaurant in the main building. Also right by the general store and post office.

The Good About Yavapai Lodge East: - Location: Since you are in the park, everything is nearby and you have ready access to go back to your room whenever needed – for a short rest, for a weather delay, to drop off or pick up extra clothes - Access to Facilities – The lodging rooms are separate buildings from the... We booked 2 rooms for 6 people. The family hotel room with a king bed plus bunk bed was spacious and a good home base for our 4 night stay. The amenities are basic but the lodging is clean and conveniently located within the park. The wifi in the main lodge (none available in the guest rooms) was slow but... More
